About
The Barrio Santa Cruz used to be the Jewish quarter. The streets are narrow and form a labyrinth. It’s easy to get lost among the jasmine-scented streets… only to discover a convent or a palace or a hotel. Many of the palaces have wrought iron gates suitable for peeping into their beautiful patios. There are many small stores and some artisan shops, as well as good art galleries.

    Most Charming area of Seville
Our hotel was in the middle of this most charming area ..... Santa Cruz So we really explored the numerous maze of streets for 3 full days .....and still couldnt find our way back !! Very conveniently located between the Alcazar and the Cathedral with small quaint shops , cafes and restuarants ! The uniqueness of Seville is in walking around this neighbourhood !!

    Dark History
Fantastic neighbourhood in Seville, with a dark history. With its cobbled stone streets, white-washed houses, plenty of artisan shops and cafes makes this a fantastic area to explore. Also in the area is Calle Susona, a story based on this street that has a troubling and tragic past.

Had a wonderful time. Stayed at Hotel Sevilla Center, wonderful place in November 2022. Close to ommerce Center. Everything closes around 4pm for Siesta except Centro commercial. Visited Plaza Espana. Parque Maria Luisa, Royal Alcazar, and a wonderful Flamenco show in Triana, only $26/pp Inc a drink. Spent one day here, but I will be planning another trip next year.

🏨 🛌 Stay here to be close to everything!
We stayed in this neighborhood to be so close to all of the major sights, restaurants, and shopping. Take the time to walk down all of the charming streets and stop in to the local shops (not the ones that have all of the same cheap souvenirs). They're were so many great restaurants that were within walking distance. Tip: Take good walking shoes and remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

    Don't loose your way
This is a quaint area to walk through but there is no single focus to view. The streets are narrow so beware of cars. There are a number of churches that you will come across unexpectedly but they tend to be open only in the evenings and Sundays. The sort of place to linger and take tapas.

    Wonderful way to get lost
This was such a nice place just to walk around without an agenda or designated amount of time. Because so many places we visit require a ticket with a preset time, we often feel over scheduled. It was nice just to wander around trying to get lost and choosing somewhere to eat and poke our head into numerous stores. Would highly recommend taking a deep breath and slowly wander around and appreciate this special area. Enjoy

    Get lost and enjoy it.
This is a charming area to visit in Seville and it was lovely to be able to just wander and explore the maze of streets without any fixed destination in mind. We did get frequently lost even with a map and I found myself stopping regularly and consulting my google map on my phone to get some idea of which way the last lane took me, they meander so! There are endless shops, cafes, bars etc and you need to be sure to look up because there are wonders to lift the spirit at every turn, many of them above you. Allow a good couple of hours for exploring.

A wonderful quiet neighborhood. Loads of little alley ways, and at every turn the almost overpowering smell of Orange blossom. And the food and wine were awesome. This is definitely the area to stay in!

Area to wander about when time allows. You will probably get lost here but the area is easy to negotiate. Take you time and enjoy the narrow streets and countless shops.

Endlessly charming with surprises around every turn of the octopus streets, cannot recommend highly enough. Look for hidden churches, bakeries, and convent-made sweets
