Some free attractions are not worth visiting. Not so this one! Location, building and contents are all excellent - well worth a few hours!

Not to my particular taste, but the collection of religious art here is very impressive, especially the Murillos. The building is a lovely old converted convent, and attraction in itself.

I'm not sure which is more interesting, the various paintings or the actual convent that houses them. Built during Sevilles Golden age of ceramics the courtyard tiles are worth the trip here by themselves.

A great building which is worth seeking out, particularly as entrance is free for EU citizens. For me I found the endless displays of religious paintings dull by comparison with their surroundings.

This is a must for Renaissance and Baroque art lovers. It's considered the second best art gallery in Spain with works from the 14th to 20th century. Paintings by Murillo, Velaquez, Valdes Leal. There was a one-off exhibition Objects in Art .

My wife and I went to the Museum of Fine Arts. There was no special exhibition going on but there was plenty of art to keep us interested. I always go to the great hall where the Murillo paintings are located because I enjoy his works of art.

we stumbled upon this while wandering around Seville, what a gem of a museum!! this shows local artists work which includes paintings and sculptures, many of which are antiques and wouldn't be seen anywhere else, a few pieces are being exhibited in other museums but they have copies in place to view. if you like art this is a definite... The Museum is housed in an old convent that was built around 1600 and one of the most impressive rooms that is in use was the former convent's church. Entry was Euro1.50 per person which is exceptionally cheap. The majority of artwork on display is by Spanish artists from the medieval period till the early 20th century though with a... More

The building is as much an attraction as the collection. The paintings are displayed to enhance the overall effect.

I spent about 1 1/2 hours at the Fine Arts Museum in Seville. The major strength of the collection is with Spanish artists, especially those with a connection to the city such as Murillo and Zurbaran. I was there on a Sunday, and there were works of art for sale by local artisans in the small park in from of... More
