I've spent lots of time in Italy, Greece and the middle east, seen ruins that blow your mind and these aren't it. Sure they are interesting but definitely not a must see due to their poor condition. These ruins were found accidentally when plans to excavate underground to build a car park brought them to light. A lot were damaged... More

Just had a wonderful time visiting these old ruins. They have done an exceptional job with their touch screen displays, giving you a sense of what the ruins could have looked like back in their day. We prepped the children in behaviours and kept them nearby, and it didn't feel like a stressful place with kids. Only suggestion is that... More

This site was excavated with the intention of creating underground parking until these Roman ruins were discovered. The plan for parking was abandoned and here we have it, a small, informative, interactive museum at just over 2 euros per head. You probably won't need more than an hour to enjoy it. Well worth visiting.

If you like ruins from the Roman Era (I do so :) ) you should visit this Antiquarium. If you are not interested in that stuff you will find that boring.

Not easy to find, but well worth it. Go under the "mushroom" from the main road and right at the end. It feels like an underground car park, but once you find the Antiquarium entrance, the staff are welcoming and helpful. They asked where we from, then spoke English. It's an unusual layout with walkways to take you over the... More

The Antiquarium is an archaeological museum located in Sevilla underground and it was found after an excavation in order to build underground parking. The local authorities decided to put aside the original parking project and preserve the site. A great place to visit for those who like ancient civilisations ruins.

Hidden below the Plaza de la Encarnacion, this incredible exhibition displays Roman relics in a very modern way. Helpful staff are on hand to explain the layout of the site and there are plenty of touch-screens with detailed information in Spanish, English and Italian which really help to bring the site to life. This museum really does work and is... More

We found this by mistake whilst trying to get on top of the high walkway - both being really interested in history, we found it an incredibly beautiful, fascinating, well laid out and wonderful museum. Spending easily 45 minutes inside somewhere actually quite small, it was probably the most interesting place we've visited in Seville. Probably because of it being... More

We sort of stumbled upon this when we were visiting Metropol Parasol (above it). There is rather a lot to see, even if some of the mosaics have been removed for restoration, for the very, very cheap entry price of just 2 Euros. It's fascinating to think this has been tucked away for so long and just discovered when they... More
