There is not visit for many peolpe because many tourist think that you can only visit in Seville The alcazar, The cathedral and la Plaza de España. However this boroque church is very atractive for its artistical quality, its history and its events arround the year. Its pure charm. Moreover the visit is free for tourist. There is only adventages. I respect but I do not understant the punctuation of this monument less than 4 circle, you can visit a wonder for free.

The Church of La Magdalena is a very beautiful Baroque church and it has plenty of art. Among the artists represented here are Zurbaran and Lucas Valdes. It seems that every surface of the church is decorated with fresco paintings. There are many very good altars in the church. During Holy Week we saw El Santísimo Cristo del Descendimiento, the name of one of the thrones in the church. Pedro Roldan sculpted it in 1659. Nuestra Señora de la Presentacion is the name of the Virgin Mary that is paraded during Holy Week. It was sculpted in the 19th century by Juan de Astorga.

The Church of La Magdalena is the third most important church in Seville, after the Cathedral and the Church of El Salvador. There is plenty of art in the church. None of the art decorating the church was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War, so the treasures have been preserved.

Most of the paintings were done by Lucas Valdes and his followers. This church is considered as one of the most beautiful Baroque churches in Seville.

The Church of La Magdalena is really called the Church of Santa Maria Magdalena. Fernando III founded the old Dominican Monastery of San Pablo in 1248. Later the old Gothic church was transformed by Leonardo de Figueroa in 1709 to the present church, which is Baroque in style. There are three naves in the church, which are topped by an octagonal cupola that allows light into the church. The main altarpiece was constructed in the 18th century.

There is plenty of art in the church. The Entrance of Fernando the Saint to Sevilla and the Autos de Fe were painted by Lucas Valdes and his group. Zurbaran is represented with two of his paintings, which are the Historias de Santo Domingo en Soriano and La Curacion de San Reginaldo de Orleans. Besides the artwork, a side chapel has a wonderful Mudejar cupola with a star design in its center.

The mix of kitsch and grandiose leaves the viewer stunned. The riches transported from the New World are well represented here!

There is not much to see outside but when you enter - wow! This baroque church is very beautiful and ornate with heavy gilding. We spent quite a while admiring the interior as it has many interesting sights. There is an attractive octagonal dome.
