Description:

La Casa del Flamenco is located in the heart of the Santa Cruz...

La Casa del Flamenco is located in the heart of the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, the former Jewish Quarter. The main courtyard of the palatial residence dating back to the 15th Century houses stylish Flamenco performances every evening. The acoustics of the premises are also unrivalled, as they allow for microphones and amplifiers to be discarded. Furthermore, the crowd is seated very close to the stage and so that you can feel all the intensity as the heel crashes to the ground.

Every night, two dancers, a singer-songwriter and a guitarist from our roster of artists, all professionals with an impressive artistic background, perform popular dances and songs.

...Friends from Sevilla invited us to a "serious" Flamenco show; and where else can one watch the best Flamenco but in Sevilla. We had seen several Flamenco shows before, but our friends assured us that this will be a unique and different experience. We left the hotel Murillo on foot at around 6pm. to "La Casa del Flamenco, Auditorio Alcantara"... More

Very good singers and dancers, especially the man. The place is quite big so it is not too noisy nor to warm.

What a great night! Excellent and talented flamenco dancers, guitar player and singer. We enjoyed the show and happy it was only an hour and you will not be bored. Seat right up close to the stage. Four sets of dancing with music and singing throughout. Lovely costumes.

Traditional show, not like a Costa Del Sol tourist show. Only a small number of seats. Very good view all seats. Intimate. Participants clearly love their work and show real passion. Show was of acceptable length, not too long, but enough for you to appreciate the show. Drinks sold from a drinks machine, soft drinks, sangria or beer in tins... More

Top notch in every sense. A must must see. Affordable, close setting with the performers and the artists are simply fantastic.

We feared it would be a tourist trap and in a way I'm sure it is, but the performance was absolutely brilliant, and the setting is very 'sevillian' :) Both the dancers and musicians have their best. I love the prohibition of photos and videos until the end, extra points for that! Highly recommended venue, just beware that artists change... More

Audience is very close to the performers, no audio amplification which was good. Small venue so an intimate feel. Male singer had a terrific voice, good guitarist and dancers energetic. (The performers are not always the same by the way.)

We visited here as part of a Devour Seville tour. I had previously visited Seville and been to a larger venue for Flamenco (which I had enjoyed to be honest). But, this was far more intimate. Each performer had so much passion and expression - very much enjoyed.

All the guides two you to avoid the shows and find real flamenco in a bar - ignore them and go to this! It's in a small, intimate venue so you are close up. You get a mixture of dancing, singing and guitar. A really well spent hour.

This was the first flamenco show we saw and we really liked it. And after we saw a second one in Granada we appreciated this one even more! All the performers were really focused and you could see a lot of emotion on their faces. The guitarist and the singer induced us in a special world with their music, and... More
