Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked around in the area, but did not actually climb the Torre de los Perdigones, as it seemed closed at the time. However the area around it seems quite deserted in terms of tourist or worthwhile things to see. We had just walked over the Puente de la Barqueta, a bridge which is nearby, and decided to check out this tower. It seems it was built in the late 19th century as part of a foundry factory, making an assortment of things, like bullets and bathtubs! It has been restored a few times and it is now there for tourists. Not a must see, really.

The tower dating from 1885 was once part of an industrial foundry producing bullets and other zinc and lead items. Restored in 2005 at the initiative of City Council to serve as a tourist attraction. The viewpoint is at 45 meters and allows a spectacular sight of the city.

First of all: Yes, it is confusing that the opening- times are different from the ones you find online. I walked by and the person in change told me to wait 20 minutes and the tower would be open again.
I waited and it was worth it. There are not too many visitors there (not even less who are willing to wait till it opens again), the platform is small, but you have a great view over the city.
Would always come back - and even wait again.
My highlight was that you get a handwritten ticket which I loved and will be keeping. So old-school, but in a good way.

The tower was built in 1885 and apparently used for manufacture of lead shot and more recently developed as a tourist place as it provides great views of Seville. The area around the tower is not that pleasant but has been opened to grassed areas. You will find it close to the government buildings and the remains of the Roman Wall .Take a walk in past the old Roman Wall and into the old town for far more interesting area of Seville.

If you're in the area I'd definitely say it was worth a trip up the Tower. It has yet another view of the city. It's not as impressive as the setas in the centre nor as breathtaking as the Giralda but it is worth a look. Especially if you're in the area checking out the great restaurants nearby.

It didn't matter that the guide did not speak any English. His use of the camera obscura to present a pictorial of Seville coupled with whatever small amount of Spanish I could translate were plenty enough to be wowed by this exhibit.
Located in the Macarena district, a trip up the 45 meter tower to survey all that is Seville is a perfect companion to revering the statue of the Virgin at the Basilica de la Macarena.

I would assume a great view over the city, however it closes at 15:00.
Just an assumption, rating only done to post opening hours (see attached picture)

What everyone says is true: this is fun, interesting, and worth your time. Some have said don't visit if you are afraid of heights. I am, and I was fine here. There is a solid floor for the observation deck--this might be new since some reviewers posted their observations. Do not be afraid; you will enjoy this! The guide is excellent and if you know a little Spanish, you will be amazed at how much you can understand because he speaks very slowly and carefully.

Worth the trip, the bus is the c2 which is the external city circuit one. Drops you off at the door.
Go when it's clear and sunny. The camera works best then. The clarity and range is something to behold.
The external viewing gallery is well placed to offer good views of the city as well.

I was extremely frustrated by my visit to the TORRE DE LOS PERDIGONES where I was really looking forward to seeing the Camera Oscura. The website said clearly that the venue was open until 17.00h Tue to Sun, and Sun was the day I wanted to go and it was the only day I could go as I was leaving early on Tue. I was extremely frustrated to arrive st 14.35 and find a notice saying visits were by guided tour and the last guided tour was at 14.15 and the doors were closed. This was despite another notice outside saying the tower was open until 17h. GET YOUR WEBSITE AND NOTICES RIGHT GUYS! It's not difficult and it's very unfair to visitors otherwise.
