    Fabulous city
A wonderful city, we needed more time here as we only came for the day. The Real Palace was the highlight of the day . Please remember to take identification. We walked the busy streets with many restaurants churches and monuments but we must come back to see more

    Wonderful city
The most beautiful city in Spain. Seville’s old town is marvellous. There’s grand attractions like the cathedral and the alcazar, alongside a den of tiny pedestrian streets to get lost in. It feels as if the past is alive around you

Big city with small town charm
I think Seville's Spain's 4th largest city, just after Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. Despite that fact it kept a charm of smaller towns. It's central area is very compact, easy to cover on foot and all major attractions are in walking distance. Three outstanding, unmissable attractions are the Royal Alcazar, Seville Cathedral and Plaza de Espana. In between them are many others also - all packed in picturesque small old town streets.

    Spectacular and amazing Old Town
Seville is a fantastic city and its old town is full of history and culture. In addition to the must-see sights (Alcazar, Cathedral, Presidential Palace, Spanish Square, etc.), we enjoyed wandering the charming streets. We admired many famous old buildings, e.g a 16th century bourgeois palace, the Casa de los Pilatos (House of Pilate), a fusion of Renaissance, Baroque and Mudejar styles. It would take a whole week to visit this city, the problem is that we always have so little time.

I found Seville to be a lovely city, with many historic buildings and numerous narrow streets, and its inhabitants very friendly. I visited at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and it felt like I virtually had the city to myself, there were so few tourists. I suspect that in a 'normal' year, it is packed with tourists during the summer months. I was only there for 3 nights and I will definitely return.

The centre has plenty to see and do, we were lucky that our Hotel was inside this historic city giving us plenty of opportunities to explore. The weather was good, with very little tourists around. All the major attractions are in this area, it has a lovely feel especially at nights. Restautants are great too.

Seville is a great city and reasonably compact which makes it easy to walk round - don’t forget to cross the river and check out the Triana districts as well. The archeological museum is ground zero for the old quarter with it’s narrow streets full of bars and cafes (plus fly posters and graffiti!). As you wander round don’t forget to look up as that’s where you’ll glimpse all the great architecture (many of the street level facades have been changed over the years). Some of the side streets and alleys are scruffy plus the city council should make an effort get rid of beggars and “lucky heather” hawkers.

We stayed in this neighborhood which is charming and very clean. There are tons of shops, bars, tapa restaurants in the area. While there are a lot of people and businesses in the neighborhood, it never gets noisy since cars are not allowed inside this area.

During day time it is quiet and romantic; but after 6 PM it is so crowded, it is difficult to walk.
Difficult to shoot photos that show all its beauty, especially a night, unless you have a good camera and wide zoom. Forget smartphone photos; they show only a frction of the real beauty

I have been lucky enough to visit Seville a couple of times, the last time in early December 2022 because my niece was there on Erasmus. It is a beautiful city on a human scale, which you can visit on foot and live peacefully day and night, even alone, because it is truly very safe. You can visit the Cathedral with the Giralda Tower, the Real Alcazar, the House of Pilate, the Metropol Parasol, the Triana district, the Plaza de Toros, the Basilica de La Macarena, the Church of San Luis de los Frenches and much more , as well as taking beautiful walks along the banks of the Guadalquivir and attending the many performances of street artists in the famous and beautiful Plaza de Espana. During the Christmas period, all lit up and decorated, it is even more beautiful and fascinating. The food is usually very spicy. Living there isn't exactly that cheap, but I would move there tomorrow morning!!!

Stunning!! A must-visit spot.
The catherdral is one of the most beautiful of Europe, and supposedly Christopher Columbus is buried there - or is it his brother?
Outside take a horse buggy ride around the town and the beautiful botanical gardens and palace.
Restaurants abound around the historic centre.

I do not know the urban origin of the city of Seville but it seems to me the perfect example of an Arab metropolis because of the labyrinthine, meandering and intricate layout. A perfect example of this is the Casa de Piatos area because as soon as I leave the four main streets I get lost. For me it's a real Bermuda Triangle. Nor does it help that the maps provided by tourism do not match 100% with the reality of the city street.

Despite all the above, it is worth losing yourself through its squares, streets, alleys, monuments, churches... being one of the strengths of the trip.

Sevilla is a lovely city with a pictures historic center. Together with Santa Cruz you can get some lovely pictures and memorable moments. There are lots of shops, cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, churches, museums, and other points of interest. It is busy with tourists and locals on the weekends, so best time to visit would be early mornings during the week. Make sure you have a map (paper of electronic) as the narrow streets can look alike and change direction rather quickly, and you can end up in a different area than desired. The architecture is beautiful and the people are lovely. Enjoy…
