Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful, oldest continually open grocery store in Europe. Fabulous to see, Lovely kind owner allows you to visit the charming historic basement area if you purchase something. I bought the local liquor, orujo de hierbas. Dont miss seeing the basement. Charming historic place. A must to visit in Huesca

You can visit the oldest store in Europe which is still being run up to nowadays with the same quality as in the past. You can see the beautiful snd historical artwork in the ceiling. If you are lucky you csn visit the bodega underneath the store and see the most interesting moving decoration pieces invented and created by the owner himself. They hold private, intimate celebrations if reserved with time in the bodega with quality service and entertainment. All of the products in the store are of high quality from the spices to the artisan chocolate. Don't miss out on this piece of history which has proved its quality and success from when it opened to nowadays. A fusion of the past and present.

A permanent feature in what used to be the Central Market square of Huesca, La Confianza delicatessen is a visit I always make when in town. Sometimes looking at their shop windows is enough to fill you with wonder. Once inside you are immersed in a world known to our great grandparents and the following generations. Look up to the amazing ceiling and let your eyes wonder over the shelves and counter. You can get the best local wines, olives, pulses, dried and salted cod, traditional sweets and a great variety of local products. More recently they have opened up the beautiful basements as a restaurant that you can book for family or group celebrations. Check it out when you visit Huesca!

Beautiful old antique store but frosty welcome...The old lady is fed up with tourists apparently. We wanted to buy a local product but there were no prices under the items and we had the impression that the prices were based on the type of clientele. Which we generally don't appreciate at all.

We arrived here with high expectations. It was little more than a small but quaint market with a limited selection of local products. The nostalgia offered by the decor seemed like a ruse, used to maintain the attention of visitors who aren't welcome by the uninviting shop keeper. We left as quickly as we entered, only after feeling obligated to buy a tasty but overpriced candy. There are much better ways to spend your time and money in Huesca.

We travel a lot in Spain. This place seems like a trap.

Doesn't look like a Real shop.

Hardly worth visiting: more a curiosity than anything. Very little of interest on offer; unfriendly staff. Trading on history rather than service.

Ultramarinos La Confianza is the oldest shop of gloceries in Spain, and it is located in one of the many squares that are in the old town. Here you can buy a lot of regional products like “trenzas de aragón” (a sweety cake), longaniza de Graus (a cured sausage), local cheeses or some pastries, which are very good. The shop is curious and a visit is interesting, and the products are very good, especially the pastries, which are very typical in Huesca.

It reminded us of a turn of the century candy shop or soda fountain.
This is one place, but not the only place in the area to buy regional specialties. We walked in late in the afternoon and saw the “NO PHOTOS” sign and the stern looking lady who seemed ready to pounce if I raised my camera.
We did not get a good vibe.

It was such a lovely surprise to visit this grocer's! Considered the old one in Spain it has a particular charm for its decoration, its groceries and the warmth of its staff.
Try and visit the cellar, most interesting too! A family dedicated to this shop for over 125 years.
By the way, their most sold products are beans, salt cold and yummy chocolate.
Definitely a must!
