An inspiring place to visit. The top of the hill has a Chillida Monument faced to the sea where you can enjoy a privileged view of the sea, the Gijón City beach and the Musel harbour.

A chunk of reinforced concrete that represents a person turning their back on the town & looking out to sea/ encompassing the horizon/ future. Can well see why the taxpayers.were less than.pleased. Zero enhanced sounds.

Continuing the arty feel to our trip we climbed up from the town to see this cliff top sculpture, a stiff walk up but great views of the bay from the top and worth the effort, had a lovely walk back through the park too.

Nice piece of art with stunning views. It is also a very nice walk up around the coast with interesting history along the way.

This is a quiet park to walk around and enjoy the ocean views. It can be windy at times as there are not many trees to block it.

Let’s be clear: I’m a fan of brutalism, yet didn’t understand why we were walking toward what looked like some disused piece of concrete. “Walk forward,” my husband said. As you move into the center, the structure acts as a parabolic reflector, concentrating the sounds...More

Totally worth the walk on a blustery day, the sun gave us just enough time to marvel in the wonder of the sea behind this lovely structure.

Probably the highest point of the city which offers a panoramic magnificent view of the city, its sourounding, the port, beaches, ocean and the fort, especially impressive on sunny days.

From here you can see the Cantabrian sea, the town and the beach nearby. The green lawns give it all a beautiful contrast.
