If you ever been to Manhattan Fifth Avenue, this is the equivalence in Oviedo. Great place and close to Parque San Francisco a great place to take a stroll and eat some churros.

Busy central street, where you will find plenty to see and do. From "El corte Ingles", good pastries, nice buildings and the central oasis "Parque Campo de San Francisco".

Calle Uria is downtown Oviedo and it has many good stores, including the big El Corte Ingles store. We went several times to this street to look around. There were many old and beautiful buildings that we admired on this street.

Lovely to amble around this pedestrian mall, poke into the small shops, listen to talented buskers and especially watch Oviedo's passing parade after the siesta - especially lovely are the little kids, dressed to the nines even on week days.

Just some small shops with average merchandise. Nothing like Barcelona or Madrid. Walked a couple of blocks and left.

Calle Uria is a feast for the eyes! The architecture is varied and utterly beautiful. All kinds of shopping....from cigar shops to bakeries to pharmacies and everything in between. It's definitely a busy street but not crazy. I also enjoyed "people watching". LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Oviedo it's small city but you can't imagine how nice and clean is. There is not really thing to do. But people are really friendly. 2 or 3 day is good enough for visiting this city

The only way to describe it is as a stately, clean avenue with lots of high-end shopping. This is as close to Fifth Avenue as you're going to get in Asturias.
