Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have read that this church is in fact older than the cathedral next door, having been founded in the eighth century by the great Alfsono II of Asturias, although all that remains of King Alfonso's building is the three-sectioned window you see on the east wall of the church from the alleyway behind. (There are very similar windows in other early Asturian buildings in Oviedo - for example Santa Maria del Naranco.) I had the impression that nowadays the church is used for smaller, more intimate, family-type ceremonies than the Cathedral might be felt suitable for.
In its own way, it is also very beautiful. It is a place where you can rest quietly and think.

The Church of San Tirso El Real is located quite close to the Cathedral. We went there and found the church quite beautiful. There was a lady in charge in the church and she gave us plenty of good information about the church.
