This was informative and good to see the basque region celebrated in this way. The exhibits get more interesting as you go higher up the building. The history etc is further up the floors. Lovely staff.

right by the casco Viejo metro station- opposite. really nothing much to see, however, and not worth paying for. If you have the Bilbao day card then you get free entry- so you may want to kill 5 minutes taking a quick look..

This is a little gem in Bilbao. A very well organized museum presenting many aspects of the history, ethnology, ethnography and culture of the Basque people. I really enjoyed it, the building is also beautiful and the staff super helpful. Texts were all in three languages: english, euskerra and castellano.

If you don't understand the above mentioned languages, don't bother. The only saving grace is that the musuem counter staff was so nice and eager to share about the museum.

A free museum, housed in a former palace with a beautiful cloister with a multiple well thought out and constructed exhibits on Basque history and culture. Can not recommend highly enough.

Beautiful models of boats and the area. Also very nice building. Plus a bit about life and jobs of the past and local products.
