Worth a visit. The surrounding buildings are attractive, particularly those with ivy and other plants growing up the sides. An extensive range of restaurants to choose from. The only downside is the large concrete square in the middle of the Plaza. I understand that they...More

Mostly tucked away from the busy streets of Old Town, this square packs a bit for every taste. Special mention to the Bar Gure Toki and the pastry shop Maikala

Thus plaza is worth a visit but go early in the day before the restaurants that fill the square get busy. Nice architecture. It down to personal choice but ygm restaurants here are pricey too busy for my liking

Once the capital of government and now of Basque culture and language. Great place to sit and watch the locals and tourists go by, amazing displays of the local tapas... pintxos (pinchos). Food and drinks prices are excellent all across northern Spain, no exception here.

After arriving to Bilbao we headed to Plaza Nuevo to "Cafe Bar Bilbao" for delicious pintxos. Both this square and the bar are worth visiting. This place has a stunning atmosphere.

Visited a number of pixtos bars within the square. Each pintxo bar was unique, having different atmosphere, crowd of people and pintxos. For one pintxo and a drink, I paid between EUR2.50 and EUR4.50. I would go back there again and visit all the bars!

This square is lively and alive. Many little pinxto bars and both local and tourists come here to eat, to drink, to chat and generally just enjoy live. Kids play in the square, people just wander around or stand or sit at either the square...More
