I was in Bilbao for a music festival (Bilbao BBK Live) and decided to take one day for some sightseeing. I love beaches, and read about this beach on Tripadvisor and decided to check it out. Getting there is fairly easy - you take the metro (line 1) going towards Plentzia and get off at Larrabasterra and from the train... More

Visited here on a cloudy but warm day in June. Still many people on the beach enjoying the warm weather. The water was calm but cold making only a quick dip possible. Steep walk down to the beach so bare that in mind for the way back up. Well worth a visit though with or without your swimsuit.

The most beuatiful experience in my life. It is hard to explain to others. Anyway in few words it was simply amazing. Huge cliffs, sun, strong wind, loud sound of the sea and breaking waves, nice smelling air, total freedom, 8 hours spent by walking on cliffs and beaches - the Unforgettable feeling in my heart.

There are many lovely beaches that criss-cross the Cantabrian Sea and the Spanish and French coastline. I recall certain days last year and back in the l960's and 70's when I spent a few hours sunbathing and swimming in the waters below the lovely Pyrenees Mountains.

Nearly missed this. It is a fantastic and easy trip up the mountain and the walk around at the top and the photo opportunity is not to be missed
