There’s lots to do in San Sebastián and you might not think of visiting a museum on a sunny morning but this museum is definitely worth the effort. The €6 entrance fee is well worth it. The ground floor includes an old church and cloisters...More

We went on a Tuesday when the visit and the audioguide were free! Really interesting few hours, especially finding out about Basque history!

This museum is partly based in an old monastery, and partly in a beautiful modern building. It gives a good oversight of Basque culturele heritage. Highly recommended.

A pleasant surprise. The beautiful and interesting exterior in a charming square sets the tone for a blend of old and new in this monastery transformed into a modern museum. The displays are good, particularly those focusing on the unique aspects of the Basque culture....More

A very large and interesting place. There are displays about ancient Basque history and culture leading up to modern day. The English language audio guide was a big help in getting full appreciation of what is offered. There was a great variety of material shown,...More

The Museum is housed in renovated 16th century convent, to which an ultra modern extension, built into the cliff face, has been added. It’s a great combination of the old and the new. The displays show a chronological history of Basque society, from the Stone...More

The exhibition and the multi media presentation were amazing. We were very impressed. It’s a museum showing the essential moments and milestones in the formation and development of the Basque Country.
