We decided to swim across the bay to get to the island, and that is not impossible. Actually, if you got the time, and are in shape for a tiring swim, then it is a thing to do during the summer. The island itself isn't...More

We visited Santa Clara Island and we liked it very much. It seems that few people visit it and, though there is nothing especially interesting or impressive, the local atmosphere is so unique.

You can get here by boat (rented or regular service from port) or swimming and once here there is a swimming area, a bar, and numerous hiking trails that lead you to some great views and secluded spots. I would definitely recommend a visit.
