For starters…Jone is a treat to look at and be with -passionate about her love for this beautiful area of her country… and this love and enthusiasm combined with endless knowledge she passes on to her clients who quickly become her friends .

I had the pleasure of having Jone as my guide through Donostia, and I cannot recommend her enough!
Jone's knowledge of the local food scene was unparalleled, and she also shared with us the unique culinary culture and history of the Basque region. She truly made the Donostia "Theater of food" come alive for us.
Jone directed us through a myriad of exceptional food experiences that I would never have discovered on my own. Each dish was like a performance, and Jone was our masterful director, guiding us through the show.
Jone's extensive network and contacts gave us the opportunity to go behind the scenes and get a closer look at some of the local culinary hotspots. It was an experience we never would have had without Jone's connections and expertise. I was truly impressed by her ability to provide such an insider's perspective, and it made our tour all the more special. Jone's dedication to providing her clients with the best possible experience is truly remarkable.

Took a fantastic tour of San Sebastián with Jone of adorebasque. She gave us history and insight into Basque Country in a fun and memorable way. Her pintxos tour was delicious as we moved from one bar to another and tasted everything. Jone was wonderful to be with and it felt like we spent the day with a knowledgeable friend. Definitely a 5 star tour.

I organized a tour for a groug of four friends and came across Jone in the internet.
Jone is of Basque / Germann origin and speaks both languages as her mother tongue.
Furthermore her English is absolutly fluently.
To make it short at the beginning:
100 out of 100 points.
We had 4 days with Jone, 1 day Biilbao Tour by foot, bicycle, ship which gave us facinating impressons of Bilbao.
This also applied for the next day in San Sebastian. Jone seems to know everybody, every corner and every Pintxo Bar in San Sebastian. Great day.
Our excursion the next day to the countryside was outstanding. Visit to a sheep farm with cheese tasing and a marvolous lunch with apple wine ( cidre ) from the barrel and at the end a visit to Monte Igueldo with a stunning view of San Seastian.
Do not miss the next day !
A walk on the Jacobsweg wich takes you from San Sebastia to San Juan. Spectacular views !

Jone captures your attention from the very first moment. We did a company guide tour and all of us where delighted by Jone, you can see her passion for what she does in all her explanations☺️
It is a very dynamic and interesting guided tour where you learn and enjoy all the amazing places that we have!

It was both interesting and joyful to get to know Jone in her domestic environment of San Sebastián and Tolosa. In a group of collegues from Oslo in Norway, I was fortunate to learn a lot about the Basque culture, language and food, thanks to Jone and her knowledge. History and anecdotes were conveyed very understandable, combined with a warm personality. I would highly recommend Adorebasque to anyone with interest in the Basque country.

Jone is a very well informed, communicative, and attentive guide. She knows everything about Basque culture, food, and history. She shared this knowledge generously with us, a group of colleagues from Oslo, for several evenings when vi visited San Sebastian this fall. When she arranged with the restaurants and guided us through the dishes, we got the very best of food and services wherever we went. Jone also made our trip to Tolosa (a small village 30 km from San Sebastian) into a great experience. Thanks so much, Jone!

Jone is a great guide! First of all, she is a really nice person. She also speaks many languages fluently (English, Spanish, Basque, German ...). She has a lot of cultural knowledge about the Basque region and knows local people and great spots to visit. She will also tell you where to go for excellent meals :)

Jone is an excellent guide and passionate to share insights from her beloved City San Sebastian. The hours with her were highly informative and entertaining at the same time, also for our kids. Not to mention her expertise of local food. She showed us the best places.
