Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Plaza de La Virgin Blanca is probably the most famous square in Vitoria. As well is the iconic grass name sign, there is a superb monument in the centre of the square and attractive houses all around.

There are also some restaurants and bars and the Restaurant Virgin Blanca is a fabulous example of a top class continental cafe bar.

Vitoria Gasteiz is a visit worth when you are in neighbourhood. Nice buildings, relaxing atmosphere. The plaza de la virgen Blanca is a central place with a lot pubs, restaurants. A good starting point for strolling in surrounding streets.

One of the oldest meeting points in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The name comes from the houses with white facades that surround the plaza. On a rainy, windy evening, the reflection of the lights was beautiful.

On this old square named after the White Madonna ,patron saint of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz ,I admired the monument which reminds us the battle fought in 1813 ,when the Duke of Wellington defeated the French .The guide told us that Beethoven wrote a special concerto Wellington Victory ..The monument is crowned with an angel.I took some pictures around ,admiring the old architecture of the buildings around ,with glazed balconies .The most emblematic building is of course Iglesia de San Miguel .The place is a meeting point for locals and tourists .

Arrived in Vitoria at 7pm for a short overnight stay at the NH Canciller Ayala Vitoria while traveling with a group tour through Spain. The Plaza is a short walk from the hotel through the Parque de la Florida. I just fell in love with this area. It was just so beautiful I decided to go for another stroll the next morning just as it was getting light before I had to leave Vitoria. I was just in awe standing upstairs by the Cathedral with an overview of the Plaza below. I was amazed of how many people are out in the evening enjoying their time with family and friends at the cafes in the Plaza. The architecture is stunning. Took the stairs behind the church and walked along the narrow streets above and even came across some colorful murals on apartment buildings.

Wonderful atmospheric plaza as you go up the hill, with the old parts to two sides. Sheltered from the cold wind in March with cafes/bars around.

Nice square in Vitoria with the symbol of the name of the city written in grass, probably because it was Europe's green city of 2012 and parks and nature is very important to them. The Old Town is very beautiful and well maintained, I liked and was positively surprised despite rainy weather.

Try to go there for lunch or dinner. It's a true pleasure to walk the Plaza and admire stores and musicians. Friday afternoons are specially nice. Don't miss it if in Vitoria.

Like so many places this great plaza in the centre of the old town is never at it's best in the middle of a drizzly winter afternoon in Mid Feb, but if you look beyond that it's not hard to envisage a great buzzing atmosphere full of life on a warm Summers day or evening. We loved the place and will return, the food in town is also worth a revisit!
