Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic day out. Bring plenty of water and food. No access to provisions on the island and deffo book in advance to get the ferry slots you want. Bird life is exceptional and lizards are amazing

Sorry folks a total waste of a day, not even a small worm to be seen during our trip. Cold windy day with very little time to explore this island. Had more fun feeding the fish that surrounded the boat. Let's just say we won't be going back any time soon. NOPE... Gordon 🇬🇧 Sissi 🇨🇳

Came here on a boat trip. Didn't get to see much of the island as we only had an hour and It was quite hilly! There are a few different walks you can do, also a little museum, and you can go into the sea which is crystal clear and lovely. Island is full of dragon lizards hence the name, they let you touch them and are no bother at all. Would like to come back for a longer time as I imagine the views from the top of the island would be perfect. Costs just 1 euro to get onto the island which goes to the upkeep of the island.

We took the boat trip from Santa Ponsa. On entering the boat your photograph is taken & at the end of the trip costs 5 euros if you decide to buy it.The trip took about 1hr to reach the island but on the way the crew points out places of interest including a few famous people's houses. The island is a nature reserve & 1 euro each is collected for the maintenance of it. You are allowed 1hr on the island but the walks are very long so we only walked a little way. On the way back the boat stops at a small cove where you can swim or snorkel. The snorkel equipment is hired for 10 euro deposit which is returned when handing back the equipment. If you have paid extra for food which we did this is served after swimming. It consists of Spanish omelette, salad & a glass of sangria. The crew then give a little concert & come round for a collection. The boat then returns to santa ponta. All in all the trip was 4hrs & costs 25 euros each
Would recommend this trip But would advise sturdy shoes while on the island.

It was hot when we took the boat from st Elm across the bay. It became more hot gettiing to the top! Brilliant weather and nice view across the bay to st Elm district and further on to st Antrax! And good excersize...
Sa Dragonera is one of two side-islands to Majorca and both are national parks. So - bring your own food and drink and get back latest with the last boat to mother Majorca or Guardia Civil comes and get you.....

St Elm is a lovely village at the end of a narrow , windy road. There is good ,secure , parking for €4 per day. 5-10 mins walk through the village takes you to the small harbour where you board the ferry. Once on board the cheerful , multi lingual young man will hand out your ticket and write on it what time you wish to return. Payment takes place on the return journey €13. On the island there are 4 walks varying in degree of length and difficulty. Stout shoes required as the hills are steep and the surface of the paths is very rough. Not many places to sit for your picnic or a rest. Scenery spectacular. There are toilets close to the pier but no catering facilities at present. Lots of very tame little lizards. No beaches worth speaking of but where the ferry leaves you there is a rocky area where many people made themselves comfortable in the sun. The trip from the mainland takes about 20 mins. Not suitable for small children except for perhaps a short visit , staying close to the pier. There is a lot of work happening on the island to create garden ares and buildings being repaired so perhaps in the future there may be catering provided. There is a picnic table area close to the pier at the beginning of walk 1 - the easiest and shortest walk. A nice trip but only the fittest and hardiest will stay more than a few hours.

We had an amazing day! We've never experienced something like that. Hundreds of tiny lizard running from under our feet with every step we took :) So much fun! The whole island is an amazing experience. Beautiful views and a bit of a Jurassic Park atmosphere. There is a few tracks that you can follow.
To get there you have to take a short boat trip from St Elm.
We've booked our next holidays in Majorca already and definitely will go back to see some more of the little dragons!
If you're starting your trip from Palma I would recommend an earliest bus to Port d'Andratx, breakfast there in Cappuccino and a walk along the water and then a short bus journey to St Elm. Makes a lovely day trip full of adventures!

If you travel to Sant Elm by car, there is an easy parking and from there a short walk to a small harbor. From there take the water taxi for €12 and pay €1 for entry of the park. The water taxi ride takes about five minutes and is quite fast. The island is wonderful, and you can easily spend a full day walking and relaxing. Snorkeling and swimming is only possible in the small harbor unless you have your own boat or canoe, but it is worth it. Highlight of the island, hence it is protected, are the small salamanders who, unfortunately spoiled by people that feed them against the rules, come to your hand. There are hundreds and at some points you have to be careful not to step on one. It is worth every penny and with kids it is super fun. If you want you can walk many hours, for a short stroll you can wear flip flops. The views are really amazing. Bring enough water and food and don’t forget to take your waste back to Mallorca!

Absolutely loved it. We took the 10.15 boat out and came back at 15.00. It was worth every penny. We decided to do to walks (2 and 3) to see both ends of the island rather than climb to the top. It's beautiful and the lizards are fantastic. It was sunny and very warm in mid Feb. Try to stay as long as you can!

We decided not to take one of the many tours available from Paguera, and instead drove to St. Elm which was only about 20 minutes away through lovely mountains. We took the ferry across to Dragonera with Margarita tours, its a small ferry that goes back and forward all day from st. Elm to Dragonera and vice versa which gave us a lot more freedom to do what we wanted rather than being stuck with a tour, and it was only 12 euros each....about £8. The inlet is a wonder of nature and for myself, a keen gardener and wanna be botanist :) this was heaven on earth, not to mention the breath taking views and the cute little lizards everywhere that come really close and are harmless. Resist the temptation to feed them, as it is forbidden and make sure you take water and food and sun lotion with you. You will walk a lot. There are 4 treks to chose from and in total u should need to stay in the island about 5 hours in my opinion. Its amazing and nothing there to see but nature.

Bonjour,
Il semblerait que l'accès à l'île soit complètement impossible dorénavant. Est-ce que quelqu'un peut confirmer ?
Bien cordialement,
Stephen.

Some people recommend swimming on Dragonera but we have not found any beach or a place with a relatively comfort access to the sea. Is there any besides that next to mole that is not very clean? Where?

Hola, quisiera saber si al contratar el barco para ir a la isla ¿se tiene que contratar una de las excursiones o puedes ir a tu aire? ¿Se permite el baño desde la isla?
Gracias
