    Visit on a hot day
This Cathedral is huge and we’ll worth a visit. We had not booked in advance but there was a door for online entry at the seaside of the cathedral. We almost booked online on the phone for 20 euros but at the last minute went round to the short queue on the other side which was much cheaper as you have a greater number of options. Nice and cool inside and a lot to see

    Lovely piece of architecture.
There is little more I can add to all the other favourable reviews about the Cathedral. I am not religious but, as a building and a piece of architecture, it is very impressive. It has to be one of the 'must do's' when visiting Palma but choose your time wisely as it can get very busy. When we visited it cost us 8 euros each to gain entry and, if the audio guide was required, it would have cost an extra 4 euros.

What a collection of stained glass.
Beautiful from our first accidental sighting through the hours we spent in and on it. We parked the car at park de la mar and when walking out were greeted with a immaculate view of the cathedral. Later in the day we toured the inside and took time to absorb the magnificence of the stained glass windows powering out the full gamut of colours in the intense Balearic sunlight. I recommend spending the extra euros to go up to the roof and explore the architecture and the views across the city and the sea. One of the best cathedrals we have visited.

    Cathedral in colour
The Cathedral is stunning. With a glorious sunny day, the sun streamed through the stained glass window and threw a multicoloured light across the transcept, lighting up pillars and walls. It was very busy, so it is best to prebook a guide. The guide was pretty good. He wasn’t too long, just enough time to walk the building and understand some of the history. There are toilets inside the Cathedral. You have time to sit in the pews and take in the atmosphere.

    Beautiful Gothic Cathedral
First, Tickets. We bought ours online about 30 days in advance, so we had no wait in line. We selected the first available time slot in the morning, so it was not very crowded when we arrived. The combined ticket which includes the Terraces, and you do want to visit the Terraces, was 20€. This is a big, very gothic, 13th century Cathedral. Hight ceilings, the web site states forty-four meters, with tall windows, but it is still rather dark. We were impressed by the many beautiful side chapels, some with Baroque style altars, and intricately carved sculptures. Each had detailed descriptive signage outlining its history, who it was dedicated to, and when. One of the major chapels definitely had a Gaudi feel. In the early 20th Century Antoni Gaudi adapted the inner space of the Cathedral to meet the new liturgical and pastoral requirements. You could see defiant similarities to his design for The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Do not miss the library, with is collection of Gold and Silver religious art.

    Breath-taking
If you are in Palma de Mallorca you must visit the Cathedral, is one of the biggest and most beautiful ghotic style i have ever seen. You can feel the history of the island when you enter. The visit costs 7 euro.

A moving visit to a very impressive building….
We made a trip to Palma from our holiday resort especially to visit the cathedral. It was a scorching day but inside there was welcome cool and shade. We paid €9 each for entry to the main building and the grounds. We thought this is a bargain considering what you get to see. Before the main body of the cathedral you walk through side rooms with various altar pieces on display. These are impressive in their own right but don’t hold a candle to the main body….. When we walked into the ‘room’ we were drawn to the centre to take a seat. Straight away you look down the aisle to the altar and stained glass window. This is stunning…. We sat for a while without saying a word. It’s a very thought provoking experience. Once you start to look at the smaller side chapels you see another more personal and intimate side of the cathedral. Even though there were many other visitors around us we felt strangely alone. If you are of faith take a moment to light a candle for a loved one. Regardless of the reason for your visit to the cathedral take a few minutes to appreciate how it was built but don’t forget the ‘spiritual’ side. My wife is religious but I wouldn’t say I am particularly but I found it quite moving. When we left we found we had a better appreciation of the impressive building especially when you think it was built without proper construction methods.

Be prepared to que in very hot temperatures
Paid €9 online for a ticket whilst standing in the que for ticket office. Ques at ticket office were crazy but on actual entry it was fine. I felt €9 was expensive. I understand the money goes towards upkeep but for a large family or those who can't afford it - it's too much to visit a place of worship. Art & stained glass are impressive and lovely to see. Candles €1 each - again a little bit steep.

    Cathedral Visit
We bought our tickets online on the day. A little jumbled to get in with people literally paying for their tickets in the queue, but it was still quick to get in. Beautiful architecture. Very busy with cruise ship groups but give yourselves 20 mins and you can see most of it.

You wouldn’t want to miss this gem!
One of the World’s most beautiful and accessible cathedrals - in the centre of Palma it is the most visible and attractive buildings in the City. It has recently had a full renovation and now sits resplendent on the highest point of Central Palma. Touristy , yes but you wouldn’t want to miss this gem

When first seeing Palma de Mallorca the cathedral is the first thing you see, it jumps out at you as the main attraction of the city. Once fighting through the large crowds of tourists, bike riders, horses and everything in between we arrived at the entrance. At first a 10 euro visiting fee seemed steep, especially as cathedrals I had seen in the past had been free or a donation, however this was soon justified as I was met with the most breathtaking architecture that I had ever seen. The peaceful nature offering a great escape from the bustling streets made this experience all the more valuable. If you have a spare hour in the city please visit this incredible cathedral, you will not be disappointed.

beautiful area and the markets around the area are interesting. Lots of arts and craft and a good selection of food to try and buy. They have jewellery stalls and other small business there. The centre is not far where you can shop and it’s a lovely atmosphere there.

The views around our hotel and the walks along the coast were amazing. We stayed in El Morer Vermell just outside the Old Town at Alcudia. Ours was the quieter side of Alcudia compared to port of Alcudia, which reminded me of Blackpool on steroids.
The market in the Old Town is on twice a week Tuesdays and Sundays. Lots of stalls, lots to choose from.
Plenty of Restaurants and bars to choose from.
We got a bus down to Port of Pollensa here you can take boat trips etc. A pleasant enough little town.
We did a day trip to the Caves of Drach. It was 50 euros each but I highly recommend a visit.
The Old city wall around the town is free to walk around.
The Church in the Old Town was amazing a one euro charge per person admittance.
The Roman fort just outside the Old Town was a really interesting place to visit. Only cost 4 euros each, but a nice way to kill half a day.
The people of Mallorca were all very friendly and helpful. Although while we were there. The people of Palma were protesting about British tourists saying that we are not welcome. But there was no protests at Alcudia.
As I said we were on the quieter half of Alcudia. There were just two hotels. And around the corner was a British pub called the Red Rum (not British anymore) so if you don't like eating at your hotel it's around a 15 Walk into the Old Town. Again that's where the nearest supermarket is.
Buses are swipe card at entry and charge is made after swiping your car at the exit. A lot of people at our hotel said the taxis were cheaper than the bus.

Located in the heart of the City stands the magnificent 14th century cathedral known as La Seu. We pre-booked our tickets online which was straightforward and there was no queue when we visited (10.30am on a Saturday morning). The morning sunlight shines through the massive stained glass circular window creating beautiful shades of colour on the central pillars. It’s well worth paying the extra to climb the narrow spiral staircase to the terraces which offer stunning view of the city and marina.

This cathedral is really beautiful and well worth visit. We visited La Sagrada in Barcelona last October and we both felt this cathedral was just as spectacular, but much less crowded and over hyped. It’s well worth a visit.

Stunning stained glass inside and a really beautiful cathedral in all.
I paid €9 to get in which gave me entry to a nearby museum as well. It wasn't steep in cost which is why I didn't mind paying. However to go up onto the turrets and mezzanine it was €25 😶 I don't need to see the sky high views in the midday heat for that price. That was too steep.

Second visit to palma City.
1st time to the imposing cathedral.
From a distance the cathedral stands tall with great architecture just to stand and look at.
Such a great building.
Now on to the inside which did not disappoint.
The architecture inside is just as wonderful as the outside.
If this is the only thing in palma you wish to visit just go. Highly recommend.
