It's the most beautiful building of this style in Palma. You can't miss it as you're walking toward Plaza Mayor. Just be sure to look up. It was Lluís Forteza-Rey who designed it, but it is said that Gaudi may have given him a few pointers. Gaudi apparently was in Palma working with his father (Josep was also a goldsmith) around the same time of the construction. Either way, you can definitely see that he was inspired by Catalan Modernism just by looking at the tile decoration and iron balconies. The building is currently occupied by a dental office, and other businesses. Just be sure to walk up to the entrance (which is on the side of the building) to admire the mosaic tile ceiling in the lobby.

Gorgeous 1909 art nouveau building in Placa del Marques del Palmer. The multicoloured mosaics are the highlight, but the wrought iron balconies and the stone carvings are beautiful as well. The most striking building in this style in Palma.

The facade of this art deco building is one of the loveliest in Palma - and one of the easiest to miss if you are merely shopping. As with many streets in Palma, it’s vital to keeping looking up, as well as at the thousands of individual shops. The intricate ironwork on the balconies and the art deco mosaics are a real treat for the eyes.
Apart from the shops on the ground floor, a shoe shop and yet another branch of 'Cappuccino' a ubiquitous Spanish chain coffee house, the interior is private, so there is no reason to go in - unless you need to visit the 1st floor dentist. But well worth looking up!

Well, not that famous as its Barcelona counterpart this Palma Art Nouveau edifice is not to be missed. It's set in the heart of the old town, and one can immediately see the similarity with Casa Batllo - unusual windows, terraces and wrought ironwork.

We went for a walk and found this building, sort of Gaudi inspired nice to look at but not worth a journey. Set in a busy area, worth 5 minutes not much longer.

Yet another easily missed great building on such a small square you don't realize it's existence. The house is partly under renovation but you can visit the famous St.Cristo bakery inside.

One of our favourite modernist building in Palma. From 1909. It was designed by the architect Luís Forteza Rey.
I specially like the disturbing face surrounded by serpents or dragons, under the dentist's balcony.
