Times ago there were everywhere on the highest point in Spain a torro, a symbol of Spain from yesterday; Now this i a peaceful place with a monastery with a little church; it seems If you pray there miracles will be done; in my family was a priest who leaves in the States, New Orleans, and he want to not... This land mark is visible all over the island as it's the highest point. It has a beautiful church depicting the miracle that was said to have taken place on the mountainside. Obviously you get great views across the island and across to Majorca on clear days. There's a souvenir shop and cafe, that sell stuff at reasonable prices. Worth... More

It was a great ride up with serious drops over the edge. As the highest point on the island we drove through the clouds to get to it. Very misty but fantastic. We went into the convent and saw the area that is open to the public. Austere and imposing. Worth a visit.

The winding road up the side of the hill offers great views out over the countryside but as you get to the top the views cover the whole island. This is definitely worth a visit and the statue and chapel at the top are also both very impressive. The masts are the only thing that spoil the view.

Worth the trip up to get the panorama. Donkeys were great. Café was very reasonable with a lovely balcony to enjoy the view with your snack/meals. Recommended

We make a visit every year to remember past family members, this is however a very good place to visit to absorb the scenery and tranquility.

Went up the winding road from Mercadal Village by coach. The viewing points do give a 360 degree view of the whole island and are worth seeing. You will find a Car Park, a pleasant, quiet and calming church with a Courtyard. The Café is large but has a pleasant terrace with a view 3 km up. Unfortunately on the... More

We visited Monte Toro one morning and I was worried about driving up there in our hire car but I needn't have been worried at all. The road is windy but it's a solid 2 way road and as long as you take it steady it's fine. The statue of Christ at the top is beautiful and the views of... More
