Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had dinner at Ses Voltes and were really impressed with the experience. Entering at street level doesn't prepare you for what lies ahead as you go up to a lovely roof terrace. Food was great - we had the vegetarian paella - that was beutifully presented and served by the waiter. Good selection of wine. Worth a visit.

Big and buzzy, with a huge menu, (including Pizza Carbonara!!)this restaurant certainly pulls people in. The second floor terrace is the place to be so you get an open air experience well above the street. The food is good rather than great, perhaps inevitable given the size of the operation. Our scallops were overcooked, the croquettes much better. Paella is a plentiful party piece, strong on flavour with Iberico fat melted on top to add richness. Service is brisk and efficient. With a bottle of wine and service the bill came to 105E.

A visit to ciudadella town without strolling down SES VOLTES is like going to ROME without visiting St Peter's square. It is a must for any visitor young and old, because the narrowness of the street reminds you of the old town 300 years ago. With the other old palaces, cathedrals, forts and the old windmill(apparently the last surviving in menorca) really captures the flavour of the old spain in it's entirety. You can almost visualise the spanish captains off the ships harboured in the old port and gentlewomen and gentlemen going about their business.

We visited the town twice and found it a lovely little place. Lots of shops with some great gifts and great cafes. We sat in the sun in the main square relaxing.
The streets can be a little uneven under foot but well worth a visit.

Lovely buildings to wonder through though perhaps not the best bit of town - still worth a stroll. Shopping and eating very variable! Had a light snack at 'Gross 24' where the food was excellent and the Sangrai the best - and you could relax and people watch!
However beware of the tourist tat!

This is a few streets in the centre of the beautiful old part of Ciutadella which are lined with arched promenades, offering architectural interest as well as shade from the midday sun. There are various shops, mainly souvenirs and crafts, as well as one or two tapas bars and the like. It is a very pleasant way to spend an hour or two, whether just watching the world go by or exploring the narrow lanes of the old town.
