My first visit to La Gomera and I will be back. Rene and Jesus, owners of Gomera Walking were a delight and organised everything perfectly. Walking Guides Rene and Vani were both fun and informative, explaining the flora and fauna of this stunning island.

Had a wonderful week with well organised walks and very comfortable hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and the walks were adjusted so as to keep us all happy despite a rather wet week. Great fun!

But don't tell anyone! One of the last untouched destinations in Spain. A lack of sandy beaches has saved it from the desecration mass tourism has inflicted on neighbors Ternerife and Gran Canaria. Come if you love authentic culture and natural beauty.

Go well prepared with adequate walking clothing (it can become wet and cold up at the highest points on the island), good stout walking boots and plenty of water.

Take a taxi or bus to gain higher ground and walk down on good paths. Some can be beside steep banks and must be taken with care
