    Don't miss this opportunity!!!
Truly worth the long drive to reach the view point. The views are breathtaking, even if its a cloudy day. Arrive an hour before sunset to enjoy the scenery then find your position to take the photos you'll remember for the rest of your life. Bring a jumper for early evening just incase and some snacks to make the most of it. The only sound advice I'd offer, make sure you have enough fuel in your vehicle to do the trip as there are no services nearby. Enjoy and make memories.

1950m, Highest Point in Gran Canaria
Very easy road from the East Cost (from the Wes is more tricky), it is 1h00 from Maspalomas. Small parking but you don't stay long so if you arrive before noon, it should be Ok. +1 950m, highest point of Gran Canaria and you can also see the Roque Nuble just in front of you. Definitely a very good spot for pictures but also if you want to start some walks within the foreSt & mountains (if so, go back and park your car just 5mn down the road, it will be easier and safer).

    Fresh air
Great hike, got to see pine trees (smelt refreshing), few different plants to see and the clouds as we hiked on a cloudy day, you can see other mountains around you when you’re slowly ascending. The hike isn’t hard it’s just a long walk, there are arrows painted on rocks to indicate which way to go. The view from the top would’ve been lovely if it wasn’t cloudy as we could see much around. But it was still an achievement to make to the top and back down by foot. Yes there is a military building when you reach the top, I know there is another summit on the same mountain but I’ve just ended up here.

    Excellent trip
Absolutely recommend this trip. The Guide, Selene, is such a good guide with excellent knowledge of everything. She also explained things on the way and suggested activities at every stop. Her English is excellent! I cannot commend her enough! The trip is worth every penny! Thank you!

Easy to find with GPS; no trouble parking at 1000am; food truck in the parking lot
We drove in from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and our car GPS (plus also Google Maps) took us right to the parking lot. Just before you arrive, there is a separate parking lot to a historic well. Once you arrive in the little parking lot with the food truck, you can climb up just a little bit further to the penultimate viewpoint. Know that the time of day is going to mean your camera may be looking directly into the sun. There are no bathrooms on site. The drive there can be half the fun if you use the lesser roads!

    Must see
Amazing views. Perfect in the morning to admire the views. I recommend after that visit to take the route (with breathtaking scenery) on way to the village of Tejeda. Reminded me of a smaller version of The Grand Canyon. Tejeda is beautiful to walk around too.

Amazing views, can drive virtually to the top. Parking not an issue if you arrive in the morning. There is a van selling drinks etc there too.

Stunning views on a clear day. We drove up on a clear October morning and were not disappointed. Every angle had a different, breathtaking view of the island.

Pico de las Nieves is the highest point in Gran Canaria. It has a spectacular view over the valleys bellow and even to Tenerife island. You can travel there by car, motocycle or bike, or you can try the hiking trails if you want to enjoy the nature.

Wow! Just wow! If you are looking to get away from the resorts and explore the true island, get a hire car and drive.

The drive in and around the mountains is certainly not for the faint hearted, although worth every hair pin bend, twists and single track road.

There is a lovely Spanish gentleman with a truck selling light refreshments, snacks and sun cream.

This is a fantastic area for hiking and trails in the “winter”. Unfortunately in excess of 40 degrees Celsius the day we were up, to hot for hiking!

Not recommend if you are a nervous driver or have passengers that experience motion sickness!
