This was such a beautiful cathedral! There is a museum part as well as the cathedral itself. The tickets are very cheap to enter with and there is a gift shop where I bought some postcards of some of the art they had on display. I would really recommend a walk around here.

We didn’t initially plan to visit the cathedral, but when we saw people walking on the observation deck, we decided to take a look. For 6 euros you get entrance to the cathedral, a visit to the museum, a lift (by elevator) to a magnificent observation deck, a very nice courtyard. There are also toilets. The visit took us about an hour, the views from the observation deck are beautiful - the port, the ocean, the whole city, the mountains. I highly recommend stopping by while walking around the city.

Beautiful and atmospheric and a great view of the city. The admission ticket also gives access to the tower with a unique view of the city. There is an elevator most of the way to the mezzanine, but the last steps are worth the effort. Beautiful monastery yard in addition as well as an exhibition and nice and clean toilets at the exit.

A relatively small cathedral, austere on the outside being constructed of almost black basalt, the interior is an absolute delight. Very muted compared to most Spanish churches, and all the better for that. Very early 16th century, it is light and airy with stunning columns and ceiling, and lovely stained glass windows that cast rainbow light on various parts of the church.
When we were there early on a Sunday morning, an elderly gentleman was playing the organ and quietly singing - truly divine!

The interior is beautiful - graceful arches and all slender columns. Was expecting the usual rather garish interior of Catholic churches in Spain. Do make time to see the lovely courtyard behind and the small museum. The modern paintings of the stations of the cross are most moving.

This is not a very ornate or massive cathedral but is peaceful and calming inside. It has a little garden in the courtyard, a fountain and a mechanical rattle! However the best part is the opportunity to get to the top of the tower and be rewarded with excellent views of the city. There is a lift so avoid climbing stairs. They charge 2 euros for the lift.

It is certainly a symbol of Las Palmas and a central place of this town. It is very spacious, can be visited with audio guide on the mobile and can be climbed to the top of it. It's beautiful and original. It also has a courtyard, called the orange trees, where there is a small museum. A very collected and also quiet place

Esta catedral es absolutamente impresionante desde todos los ángulos, y el arte religioso en su interior es muy hermoso y conmovedor. You can feel the story in your bones while you're here. Subir las escaleras o el ascensor hasta la cima ofrece vistas panorámicas únicas y una nova mirada a Vegueta. Definitivamente ven aquí mientras estés en Gran Canaria.🇪🇸

Although I didn't venture inside something I do wish I had done now having seen the pictures here, the Santa Ana Cathedral in Las Palmas does leave a lasting impression from the outside. Its majestic façade and intricate architecture make it a captivating landmark. Situated in the heart of the city, the cathedral exudes a sense of historical significance and the surrounding square adds to the charm. Making it a somewhat must-see spot even if you don't step inside, a quick visit to appreciate the external beauty is certainly worthwhile.

Catedral de Santa Ana is located in the Old Town (Veggueta) which is ten minutes by taxi from the city center of Las Palmas. Construction began around 1500 but was completed, according to the brochure given, in the 19th century. Many seats and small rooms on the flanks.
