You have to go by a grid road for approx 3 km. It is a beautiful beach and not busy at all. Also a good plce for snorkling. Some nice small restaurants near by.

Nice beach with great view, but for me it was surprising that we had to pay to get there with our car.

the road to these beaches is awful, but maybe that is why the place is still worth the trip. there are several beaches, some of which frequented by naturists.

This place is amazing, gorgeous clean beach, excellent for snorkeling, family friendly, crystal clear water, amazing views... Etc etc, probably one of the best places I visited in Lanzarote. Wish I'd descovered this earlier on in my trip.

Great untouched beaches. Very popular though, surprisingly crowded in the afternoon. You can appreciate the lack of services but at least a proper toilet on each of the beaches would be indispensable!! The long bumpy ride is strange but you can live with it. Parking...More

Not up to the beachfront because Papagayo Beach is located in a National Park But you can arrive to Playa Blanca and take a Taxi from rhere

I have visited Papagayo several times on previous visits, using hire cars, and there have been no problems. However in May 2016 I hired an ancient car from Orlando Rent a Car and returned it full of petrol and without any damage whatsoever. I now see from my credit card statement that 350euros have been taken from my credit card. On demanding an explanation, I was sent a photograph by Orlando of their vehicle in the car park at Papagayo. They informed me that I had breached their terms and that I was being charged for negligence and 'strain' on the car. Reading internet reviews of this company, I note widespread dissatisfaction amongst many customers who have had similar unwarranted deductions made from their credit cards. I understand that driving off-road invalidates one's insurance, should damage or an accident happen, but can see no justification for charging when no damage has been caused. Papagayo is a number one tourist attraction on Lanzarote which is visited by hundreds of cars. Although the access road is dusty, it has been improved recently and there are no damaging potholes. In fact the surface is quite smooth and better than many minor roads in the UK. I would be most interested to hear your comments. Thank you.
