Don’t let the bad road put you off one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of Canarias. A wonderful natural setting is surrounding a beautiful yellow sand beach. I think it’s worth visiting more than once, maybe to do some hiking along the...More

It’s almost 3km to Papagayo Beach from the eastern end of Playa Blanca promenade across the beautifully rugged Papagayo Sendero; there are two other beaches before you get there. You’ll try to keep to the paths as instructed, but virtually no paths are marked (other...More

We cycled from Playa Flamingo to Playa de Papagayo.....from Sandos Papagayo Hotel we travelled over rough terrain and up and down hilly rough “roads”...any reason they can’t surface these? Beach looked beautiful and restaurant was good with fantastic view over the beach!

There are boats from Playa Blanca port but please note if there’s any high wind you won’t be able to take one. We drove to Sandos Papagayo Resort and parked for free (like most places in Lanza!) and took the walk to the beaches. It...More

Went for an afternoon of swimming and sight seeing. Had read reviews about one side being for naturalists and the other sides being more family friendly. There were topless sunbathers and a few people who swam au natural. My daughters aren't used to that so,...More

Safe for children, no big waves, clean white sand, have to watchout for some rocks under water, can get a drink in the many places just across,

Beautiful little beach with interesting surroundings and walking distance sightseeing spots. However the ride there by car is pretty bad-the road is not in a good condition and in addition the two restaurants there are pretty expensive. In the hotter months, I would try to...More

This is a nice little, well protected beach but we read it was a naturist one which is absolutely not the case, very disappointing. On top of that access is bit complicated, 6km on a dirt track, and it is so successful that the 100m...More

A number of connected coves via national park. Have to pay 3 euros by car & drive on dirt track for 10mins but worth it. No sunbeds but good for kids. One bar.

there are no bars or restaurants on playa de Papagayo. that's the whole point of this beach. it's wild and away from all the amenities. bring a sandwich and some drink with you if plan to stay there for more than an hour.
