Found this an interesting visit but was really not suitable for my 87yr old mother and aunt. This trip is not suitable for the elderly or those with eyesight problems. My mother and aunt clung to each other as they tried to navigate the caves in the poor light so they did not get to take in the beauty of... More

A guided tour through 1 km of a 7 km lava tube. This cave is not claustrophobic as most of it 10 meters wide and up to 20 meters high. Wear sensible shoes as it can get slippery in areas. Interesting rock colourations and formations. A the cave has a special secret that is only told when you are the... More

A 50 minutes' guided walk through a one kilometer long tube left by a lava stream some 5000 years ago. The cave is quite impressive, but due to the great number of visitors the guide has to wait quite some time for the group to gather and give her explanations in very fast spoken Spanish and English. Interesting, but a... More

An interesting visit down the lava caves. Lots of steps and very low ceilings. Wear sensible trainers or walking shoes NOT flip flops. Not suitable for babies, toddlers, those with poorer vision or the infirm. And don't come here if you're claustrophobic. Good fun.

Amazing place to visit, quite unlike anything else I have ever seen, a huge tunnel formed millions of years ago by the eruption of the Corona Volcano which was lit and staged by Jesus Soto in the 1960's. Atmosphere is provided by suitably moody and very beautiful music and well versed guides. There is an incredible 'optical illusion' also created... More

I went with my husband and one year old. We did enjoy the caves and found it interesting but feel that it was a bit long for young children. Others in our group felt the same. Best with children over 6 so they can walk freely around the small openings without problems.

This was a great trip inside the lava caves of Cuevas de los Verdes. The tour was a reasonable length and it was interesting to walk through and see the amazing features that the lava made as it flowed from the volcano. The guide spoke in Spanish and English, but wasn't very animated and I felt like he was rushing... More

This is a place that you need to visit to see what volcanic rock and lava is all about. It has a surprise waiting for you.

We went with a separate guided bus tour. It cost a lot more than the 9 euros it costs to get into the cave but we went in the afternoon and had a good english speaking guide. The place is amazing - so interesting. You have to be fairly good at walking and able to stoop down. We also took... More
