O my, this was certainly one of the most spectacular hikes for my husband and I. The views take your breath away. See all the homes built into caves on the way. Well worth the hike around the Anaga mountains.

Definitely worth visiting. You don't need to hike - driving though you can see many many beautiful views - they are accessible by car. Driving a bit difficult though - winding and narrow roads. Be sure to take your time and enjoy. We were warned of pickpockets in the parking lots.

This area is more like a tropical rain forest complete with hanging vines etc. Nowhere in Europe have I seen such diverse vegetation. It should be a must visit for any visitor

These mountains in the north of the island are often overlooked in favour of the much better known Teide. However, they are certainly well worth a visit. We went in a hire car so experienced driving up (and down) on the some of the scariest roads we had ever negotiated! Worth it though as the mountains are breathtaking at all... More

We hiked from Cruz del Carmen to Chinamada and even with poor weather this was a great day - the cafe at the start is brilliant and does excellent soups, cakes and beer! - the landscape on the walk is astounding at times and the views gob smacking - its hard going at times and if you loop on the... Great hike routes and beautiful scenery. Did the circular hike from Taganana with some challenging climbs. Amazing views and nature. make sure to have your reward food at the local 'casa Picar' restaurant with amazing food, (best Carne de Cabre on the island) next to the church in Taganana.

We hiked from Cruz del Carmen to Chinamada and the views were spectacular. The forest is beautiful and you can really see all the mountains so well from the viewpoint in Chinamada. Take good hiking shoes and make sure not to miss this beautiful and green part of Tenerife!

We spoke to the woman at the information centre who gave us a map and detailed the directions for a two hour walk. Somewhere along the line we must have misinterpreted the map as we ended up at the bottom of a valley unsure of where to go or where we went wrong! It took us close to 4 hours,... More
