Lovely square surrounded by cafes, bars, restaurants and shops, great atmosphere in the evening. Mixing with both locals and tourists.

We went here on the first day we arrived to drink a cocktail. Nice atmosphere with people all around having a good time. There is always someone making music and creating a great atmosphere. Ideal for a talk and a game. Very diverse restaurants and bars. For lunch we tried one restaurant but find it very expensive and the food... More

Find some other place to go if you like a good restaurant - in Plaza Charco you will not find ihem !! We tried a couple of them and certainly found better restaurants elsewhere.

Loads of cafe bars and food stalls around a square with a little playpark. People selling bags, watches and sunglasses. Also a couple of shops. Buskers singing in the square. Nice cafes but they don't have toilets. You have to go to toilets at the back of the square which are disgusting. No toilet seats or paper. No soap and... More

This is the heart of Puerto de la Cruz. Usually buzzing with people, locals and tourists. However the very central cafe seems to have ripped the heart out of the square by no longer offering any live entertainment or music. Such a shame that a chain has taken over and spoiled this lively environment - its evidence that a cafe/bar... More

Park in centre of town surrounded by bars and shops. Playpark for children. As we visited at Christmas there was plenty going on day and evening. Reasonably clean for a town park but watch where you step as people do not tend to clear up after their pets.

A great wide open space, lined with some great fine dining and friendly faces. For shoppers, I particularly recommend the perfume shop off to one side which makes super cheap copies of more expensive perfumes, as well as a varied and exciting olfactory experience!
