Beautyfull!!! Majestetic! Rough! Worth to visit! Warm clothes with! Own car is better than a turistbuss. The lift up to the Teide is allways crowded or because weatherconditions, closed, but if you do not get all the way upp, the roadtrip over the Teide is good too. Lots of fine photos you get there.

Wriggly, steep roads which make for exciting driving. Pay attention! Signposting is very good. Helps to have a passenger to call out 'incoming'. Forest Coronal coming aong nicely soon be back to pre-conquest state.

The road is easy to drive in comparison to some in Tenerife, wide and well marked with not too many sharp bends. The viewpoints are some of the best on Tenerife, magnificent vistas and an awe inspiring view of the forest.

This town offers a lovely opportunity to explore colonial architecture and winding side streets at an unhurried pace. The people in town and helpful and friendly and the opportunities for photos are everywhere!

We drove through the valley on our way to visit Mount Teide. The landscape changes as you ascend sometimes passing through the clouds. There are some amazing view points well worth a stop to take photos.

Loved this historic town and its gorgeous architecture and gardens. Easy to find from Puerto de la Cruz by bus or taxi. Many interesting buildings and shops, churches and museums. Please go!

Nice lush green area to drive around when visiting the north of the island. Some beautiful views and interesting small villages . Oratava itself with it's attractive buildings and park is worth a short visit. Parking can be hard to find though. The town is quite hilly and could be difficult for those with walking difficulties. Puerto de la Cruz... More

The valley is a nice drive but busy auto road goes through it. There are some small town s on the way which are more natural but Puerto de la Cruz is really busy, noisy, full of tourists and no where to park your car.

If you're staying in Puerto de la Cruz you really must make the effort to go up the Orotava Valley. It's easily accessible by car or by bus. You can get several buses from Puerto to Orotava. They are very frequent and cheap I was charged 1.45 (Euro) each way and it was well worth it. The views down on... More

What a beautiful valley, even if it is bisected by the TF5. Humboldt said it was the most beautiful valley that he had seen in the world. The old town of La Orotava is in the middle with banana plantations all around. Not to be missed.
