Very nice area to visit. You have all your touristic things to do, Cafe's, Bar's, Restaurants and so on. But you also have beautiful nature, typical narrow and inclining serpertine Spanish roads. Typically it is colder in that area as the North side of the Island is greener and a bit cooler and cloudy. Puerto de la Cruz is really... More

Available by bus or taxi, only 9 km from puerto de la cruz, the town is most attractive, except the much vaunted balconies which seemed neglected. The views are great and the old town has real charm.

Catch the bus to La Oratava from the bus station. Only 20 mins to Oratava. Short trips on buses are quite cheap compared with UK. Interesting buildings and Museums. Go to the information centre for a guided tour. The house of the Balconies is a typical Canarian building well worth a visit.

To just drive around with no plans is the best way to discover hidden treasures.Pretty little villas, long winding hair raising roads. Scenery to die for. In all in all Tenerife is a beautiful Island.

La Orotava old quarter is very interesting but the rest is s very ordinary. The valley must have been nice once but is getting over-developed and spoiled. Ok for a drive through.

Beautyfull!!! Majestetic! Rough! Worth to visit! Warm clothes with! Own car is better than a turistbuss. The lift up to the Teide is allways crowded or because weatherconditions, closed, but if you do not get all the way upp, the roadtrip over the Teide is good too. Lots of fine photos you get there.

Wriggly, steep roads which make for exciting driving. Pay attention! Signposting is very good. Helps to have a passenger to call out 'incoming'. Forest Coronal coming aong nicely soon be back to pre-conquest state.

The road is easy to drive in comparison to some in Tenerife, wide and well marked with not too many sharp bends. The viewpoints are some of the best on Tenerife, magnificent vistas and an awe inspiring view of the forest.
