Banana Plantation and a Farm by Tuk Tuk from Costa Adeje

42 reviews
The Caldera del Rey is a vast, shallow crater with banana groves and protected parkland—one of Tenerife’s natural highlights—but it lies a bit beyond walking distance from nearby towns. This tour takes you from Puerto Colon to the Caldera del Rey monument via tuk-tuk—a small, fun three-wheeled vehicle—for a guided walk in a banana plantation and farm. End the tour with a stop in a farm shop for a smoothie made with local products.

Plenty to see, surf is usually good, even hand gliders popped in a couple of times! No idea where they came from!

This bay is located at the end of the main promenade along the 'front' of the town. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the area. The 'townside' is not particularly attractive, just large hotel after large hotel. However, the scenery out to sea and across the bay is nice and there can often be large waves coming onshore in an impressive manner. Not surprisingly then, it is the centre of surfing in the town and one can spend a pleasant time watching that.

Perfect place to sit and watch the surfers and atlantic waves crashing on the rocks. The area could benefit from some more comfortable seating

This is a lovely area to watch the huge waves and surfers. There is nice sitting areas and a huge lido nearby. The sand is black and the sea very rocky so you would need sea shoes. Very picturesque and great for photos.
