Centrally located art musuem in Santa Cruz. Only the second floor was open when I was there, but admission was free. Beautiful paintings, mainly by 19th Century Spanish artists. Well worth a visit.

Went with friends who normally spend hours in each museum but we were in and out in 20 minutes. This was partly because only the first floor was open. One room was huge and hundreds of paintings were very badly displayed. Paintings were plastered from...More

Only misses out on five stars as the top floor was closed, but the art we did see was astonishingly good, and although small there was plenty to see there. A real hidden gem of Santa Cruz.

I was recommended this place as a good place to see local art. Unfortunately, the top floor was closed when I visited, and this was where the stuff I wanted to see was mostly displayed. However, there was other interesting pieces to see, both on...More

What a find. Close to the port and housed in romantic architectural building, this gallery was free. Mainly religious oils but also pictures explaining the history of Tenerife, botanical sketches and paintings of Dior inspired 1950s Miss Tenerife. Peaceful atmosphere, guides on each floor, no...More

The ambience is wonderful, even if much of the art wasn't to our taste. However, we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed that peaceful unhurried time to consider the paintings and sculpture. The best piece is the fabulous triptych at the top: intense colour...More

The collection of this museum centers around religious themed art from Spain. Even if that is not your thing it is well worth a visit to see the interior of the building itself. In the plaza in front of the museum artists of various abilities...More

If you are looking for a good range of (mostly) Spanish art from the Renaissance period (most on loan from the Prado in Madrid), then this is worth a visit. If our experience is anything to go by it won't be too crowded! We also...More

Hello - sorry we don't know; it was January when we visited and I'm not sure we knew then. We went in the middle of the day and it was open. It only takes twenty minutes to see everything.
