Amazing experience in pairing aged cheeses with various wines
MQM Museo del Queso Manchego was a treasure to find, a cozy little local shop that had variety of cheeses, wines, spices, etc.. We were greeted with the hospitality of the shop owners - Celes & Teresa. As I recall, they have been married for over 40 + years and their passion in sharing and educating us about the aging of the cheese and then pairing it with wine, made this such an amazing experience. We walked away with a vermuth and a few cheeses as well as other delecrable spices. Look forward to returning!

    Excellent cheese museum!
This was great! The staff we very nice! You get to learn about the art of manchego cheese for free. You can also try a cheese tasting which includes 3 aged manchego cheeses, a glass or wine, and some sides to help improve the experience (paid experience - 6€). They also have larger platters which include a variety of meats. The facility has a wine library, with a large variety of drinks, patés, marmalades and more. Would definitely recommend if you do a quick stop in Toledo.

    Really cool little experience
We enjoyed this so much. It's small and maybe museum isn't the best name for it. However, they had a bunch of cheeses and the tasting was a really neat experience. I would absolutely go back if I visit Toledo again.

A Must See if you are in Toledo & Love Cheese!
Toledo is an incredibly beautiful place and in the middle is the gem called the Museo del Queso Manchego (Cheese Museum). The owner (Celes- not sure of the spelling) was so passionate about the museum and you could see and hear it in his voice when he explained the history. Just a really neat place and the wine and cheese combos were excellent!

    A delicious cheesy stop
The cheese portion of museum was a bit “Cheesy” … no English, but could figure it out. They also have a cheese tasting with wine that is must do for only €6.00. The cheese is wonderful and the “museum” has a wine shop too. A simple stop while walking around this beautiful hilly city.

    Wonderful and unique!
We loved this so much! The museum is free and it's great to learn all about the region (Castilla-La Mancha), the sheep, and how this cheese has been produced for centuries. We have always enjoyed Manchego cheese and now, with this new appreciation of where it comes from and the process by which it's made, we will love it even more. I just wish the documentary film had either subtitles (Spanish or English would help), or that the Spanish narration alternated with English. The tasting is great fun! It's affordable (€6/person) and includes servings of Manchego cheese aged different amounts of time, nuts, jam, duck pate on toast and a glass of wine or alcohol-free beverage of your choice. We loved the wine that we tried so much that we bought a couple of bottles to take home. Highly recommend!

    Good for the wine tasting
We went for the wine tasting. And yes there is a museum about Manchego, but it feels just thrown in there and is just mediocre. The wines and cheese were overall very nice, and the staff were very friendly and tried their best to speak English which we appreciated. They catered for my gluten free too (sin gluten) which was considerate. All the wines we tried raised some discussion, but I am glad we did it. A hidden gem of toledo.

    gem of Toledo
Lovely little wine and cheese museum/shop. Celes and his family take the time to explain everything during the tasting, absolutely stunning value for 7€ for the base tasting. Cannot miss on your trip to Toledo.

We really enjoyed our stop here! It's a small family run business and their passion and care for the cheese and wine is evident. We toured the little museum, which is really fun to see because they have a lot of old cheese-making tools. Then we sat down for a glass of wine and cheese pairing. They were gracious enough to bring our daughter a plate with no bread/crackers since she has celiac disease, and didn't mind that she brought her own Schar GF crackers (purchased at the grocery nearby). Lovely people, great cheese - nice place to take a break and support a local business.

Local family-owned wine and manchego cheese shop near the Toledo Cathedral. The husband-wife team are passionate and very knowledgeable about manchego! We got a wonderful intro to manchego and a series of different aged cheeses paired with a glass a wine for 7euro. Skipped our last stop on our list to go here instead- we were not let down!

This is a wine/cheese shop with a museum- a collection of three rooms in the back of the tasting room the owners put together to describe the process of making manchego.

Gem of a store- and a lot of love put into the store. We can't wait to go back.
