Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took a day trip from Madrid to Toledo on the train and I’m so glad we did. Such a beautiful, historic city. The train station was an absolutely beautiful building. The stained glass and woodworking details were amazing.

I used to train station for the day trip from Madrid. If there was a competition for the most beautiful train station in Spain, I think this one in Toledo would win. The station was designed Narciso Clavería y de Palacios and built in the Neo-Mudéjar style. The interior is reminiscent of a church with it's high ceilings with stained glass windows on two sides, high up on the walls.

Almost worth the trip to Toledo by itself.

From the Hop on-hop off bus, we noticed this attractive building. Let's have a closer look-we decided. It was the central railway station as we learned, and was interesting and pleasant inside as out.
This New-Mudejar style station maybe isn't as famous and particular as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbi, but Toledo also doesn't have to be ashamed for this railroad terminal. Perhaps it isn't significant enough to make a special trip to see it, but if you're nearby as we were, it is worth a short stop.

Book your train ticket online! The ticket office in Madrid Central Station always give customer a hard time:---long waiting line, no seat---- avoid them if possible, I finally end up by talking a taxi from Madrid to Toledo for 68 euro. So bad. But the little station at Toledo is very, very friendly, because less people there, within walking distance to the castle, no waiting lines. The trip from Madrid by train is only 33 minutes for 12 euro one way.

The railway station was quite clean compared to most. The building was spacious and was a sight to look at.

In 32 minutes you can reach Madrid in Toledo. This is possible with the train. From Atocha station you can buy tickets. Tip: Take your tickets the day before the day you want to go to Toledo. Take round-trip tickets because they are cheaper. Return to a later hour in order to have time to visit: museums, cathedrals, restaurants, etc. The train station is beautiful, with stained glass and a special architecture. From here to the city center, take a 20-minute walk or take a bus, taxi, etc. It's worth it because it's beautiful and you have what to see. Beautiful trip!

If you arrive in Toledo by train, you will see this station. No need to visit if you arrive by car, for example. There are nice stained glass windows and ceramics.

Toledo Station is a gorgeous confection; cramful of Victorian gingerbread iron latticework and plush touches of yesteryear. It also rewards the patient photographer with epic shots.

Wonderful train station. A true attraction of the city. Best way to come is with fast train from Madrid, so enjoy a bit this moresque style treasure.
