The sculptures of the two founders of the cathedral in Italian Carrara marble completed after their deaths, is some of the finest carving I have ever seen and that includes the Michelangelo's Madonna in St Peters in Rome. One of the incredible details is the little dog at the Queen's feet. The rest of the chapel with the coat of... More

This is a church inside the cathedral. You won't be able to visit this place directly without visiting the cathedral. Most people spend to much time admiring the two statues in the center of the place. However, I would advice you to look on your left. You will certainly be the only one admiring a painting by Leonardo Da Vinci.... More

A chapel in Burgos cathedral has ornate grave of the Constables of Castile with impressive effigies, they ruled in place of the king. This would be part of a tour around the cathedral rather than a separate tour but is one of the attractions of the cathedral. If you don't like Gothic cathedrals then this won't interest you.

This chapel of the Cathedral is quite beautiful and has two tombs. These tombs were made of Carrara marble and belong to the Constable Don Fernandez de Velasco abd his wife Doña Mencia de Mendoza. These were sculpted by Felipe Vigarny.

I was surprised to see that this chapel has its own TripAdvisor listing since it's one of many chapels, or separate rooms, inside the Burgos Cathedral. Considering that it's probably the most famous and is truly exquisite, I suppose it's understandable. It was definitely one of my favorites, particularly the ceiling! Just to clarify though, it's possible to enter the... More

This is the most famous chapel in the Burgos cathedral and made bij Simon van Keulen. This altar piece is not to miss.

Although there are a lot of points of interest, for me it was the highlight of my Burgos Cathedral visit
