This is an enormous series of spaces which defy my powers of description. I would say that the audioguide is hopeless - an instantly forgettable recitation of builders' names for each chapel (and there are lots of them!). Buy a guidebook instead. Otherwise, a wonderful experience.

This cathedral has many beautiful altars. The Crucified Jesus in the chapel of Most Holy Jesus is surreal... a must see. The composition of the blue in the stain glass windows has never been identified and so hasn't been duplicated.

I would recommend anyone who is in the vicinity of Burgos, stopping and have a look at this Cathedral. So ornate, with many chapels to explore, many artefacts to see. One of the top cathedrals I have seen.

The ceilings and arches fantastic, the alters so tactile and beautiful story telling! But where did the money come from. To create such an ornate and stunning building.

The listed opening times did not indicate that entrance closed 30 minutes earlier than the end time. As a consequence we could only enter the part of the cathedral available for worship with quite limited view. Impressive building, not on par with the major French cathedrals

Indeed this cathedral is described as a flamboyant example of Gothicism. It's - in grandure - the third Spanish cathedral following Sevilla and Toledo. You can actually walk around the cathedral for hours and still discover new details. It's a place you absolutely need to visit, without it a visit to Burgos wouldn't be complete.
