This i a beautiful building with plenty of half an hour visits throughout the day. Tickets must be purchased at the Tourist office. The palace is still a living home--not a museum, with its noble owner visiting once in a while. One can visit several...More

The Palace of Monterrey is owned by the Duke of Alba. There is news that it will be opened to the public by the end of the year. Now one can only see the beautiful facade of the building.

A magnificent building, built by Count III of Monterrey, style Plateresque (Spanish Renaissance style). It can be visited for free, but must make a reservation in advance because places are limited.

Its a great building, resembles perfectly the image we all have of the medieval times. Just great to see and to impersonate yourself as a knight arriving with his horse while the main gate opens!!
