We tried to visit the cathedral on December 31st. It wasn't possible to visit it, despite the cathedral's website indicated that it was open. It was such a pity!

As soon as I stepped in I was transported to another time. The outside is beautiful and the entry is cheap. The architecture and art is amazing. My favourite place in the cathedral is the courtyard. Super peaceful and designed to let the Spanish sun rays come through.

€5 entry cathedral/€7 inc tower. Wasn't prepared for being asked for money to enter a church....?? It is lovely, but I feel it would attract more paying customers if it shared entry price with another attraction e.g. I spent €10 the day before visiting El Escorial & got the monastery/royal apartments. It seemed more of a substantial a visit.

The many chapels of the Cathedral are very interesting and each have their own story. The stained glass windows are beautiful but very high so a little hard to see. The main area of the Cathedral has two areas that are enclosed - this is something I hadn't come across before and found it rather unusual but interesting.

My wife and I were short on time and trying to get pictures of Alcazar before we lost the light. We rounded a corner and came upon the magnificence of the Cathedral of Segovia. Honestly, a beautiful piece of architecture.

We visited the catherdral on a wet day and it was well worth it. A vast basillica with numerous alcoves containing sculptures, paintings and artifacts and two fantastic organs. it was November so was a litle cold inside. It is not expensive to get it. Worth a visit

This was a very beautiful Cathedral in the heart of Segovia. A lot of history inside of this Church. It just amazes me as we travel throughout Europe and the world, the amount of money it must have cost to build and maintain these church. It was a sign of power and domination during earlier times.

One of the last Gothic style cathedral built in Spain. Well preserved and very large for its relative non-prominence. Actually this was built as one of the last main cathedrals for the Kingdom of Castille and Leon before the unification of Spain with the marriage of Ferdinand and Isabel. Well worth a visit while in town. Although not ranking in... More
