This was the best part of Spain we saw during the month of our stay. I was so happy when I found out that Segovia was a 30 minute train ride away from Madrid. Once we arrived at Segovia Train Station we took a taxi for about 11 euros to Alcazar de Segovia, where we began our tour of Old... More

Most tourists take the same busy streets...why? Segovia's hundreds of small alleys have so much to offer!

This walled Old City is great. We loved strolling the streets, doing a little shopping, sitting at an outdoor cafe on the plaza, exploring the buildings - my only complaint was too little time. The streets are hilly but not overly so which makes it easy even for a woman of my advanced age!

Segovia is beautiful and we only planned an evening and the next full day there. Honestly, plan for more than 24 hours in this city. It is beautiful. I would have enjoyed getting up early to capture my pictures around the major attractions before all of the tourists were out.

Lovely city, lots of history, and very nice to just walk around, relax have a few coffees and visit a few cathedrals, especially nice on a sunny day

This old city is really in beautiful shape and is a joy to visit. Not too large, it is quaint, friendly and walkable. Not overly hilly, which makes it a great place for all kinds of people to visit.

A great place to explore - lots of magnificent buildings and beautiful little streets. Go onto the town walls to the south of the city (you need an access code from the tourist office) - Great views

There's very little of that history left after 600 years, but Segovia - and Spain, are trying to preserve the remains. Stroll the streets, see where the ancient synagogues and purveyors were, see the museums.

Segovia is definitely a beautiful and charming place. For those who will be visiting Madrid, spare a day to do a day trip to Segovia. You will not regret. It is only an hour from Madrid. We took bus instead of train to Segovia from Madrid. If you take train, the stop is out of town and you need to... More
