In august every second shop is closed because of the vacantion but you can get what you need anyway. Fresh fruit and vegetables, meat etc. Nice experience.

If you want to shop like a local, this place is very good. Very good quality, variation and range of products, albeit a bit pricey. Not an experience like the Boqueria, but better for shopping.
