Amazed that anyone e could have this vision for a hospital in 1902! The modernist buildings are lovely. In truth, though, see this before you go to the Gaudi buildings as they will jade you

In recent years a lot of work was done on restoring the Sant Pau Modernista buildings. The site is a spectacular example of Catalan Art Nouveau and well worth visiting. It feels more spacious than other places. You also get to see La Sagradia Familia...More

We visited this place based on the recommendation from a friend (and as a way to avoid some of the tourist bustle) and we were not disappointed. The restored and original aspects are beautiful! In the sunshine, the courtyard/garden area was a particularly lovely spot...More

The place used to be a functional hospital until 2007 and now it is completely restored to show the beautiful architecture. There are guided visits but it is recommended to check the schedule. Plan to stay 60 - 90 minutes there.

Guided tours are € 16. I think the extra €6 is worth it. In October on a weekday, when we went, I don't think the time of day matters. It's not crowded.
Is this open on a Monday
