This is a great complement for the visit to Sagrada Familia as it is close to it. I would recommend stralling around the gardens and paying attention to the buildings. The interesting thing is that the cost of the whole complex at that time was...More

I was so taken with the exterior of this building I forgot to see about going inside. I walked here from the Sagrada Familia, along Avenus Gaudi - a pleasant uphill stroll. The art nouveau designs are so clever and creative.

This was one of the most wonderful places we have seen in Barcelona. I mean ever, anywhere. An old abandoned hospital, but so far from the image you first get upon hearing those words. It's an absolutely stunning complex of art deco architecture, colourful, lively,...More

Old hospital converted into a museum with a very pleasant terrace to drink or eat something. In summer at sunset there are outdoor concerts.

A must visit to marvel at the Art Deco architecture which combines both beauty and organisational practicality. The structural logic which is not only wonderful to look at included the ability to manage illness an disease in ways that still continue today. Pavilions to segregate...More

Even for people outside the medical profession, this place is amazing. Since not too many tourists discovered it (yet) you can enjoy the solitude and admire the architecture and the vision of the founders.

Wonderful modernista hospital buildings from early 20th century. Found this more interesting than Gaudi houses.

Did a whirlwind tour of the extensive grounds/buildings of this attraction. Very unique architecture and many photo opportunities. Don't miss!

This was an little Architectural Gem not high on the tourist list as everyone wants to see the Gaudi but this is well worth the visit. Parts of the building have been recently restored and the history behind this hospital is amazing . Very interesting

We did not take the tour because we went in the late afternoon. It was a long day for us after having the guided tours of Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia. There is a short intro film on Sant Pau history. The pamphlet is a... More

Guided tours are € 16. I think the extra €6 is worth it. In October on a weekday, when we went, I don't think the time of day matters. It's not crowded.
