OK, maybe a bit nutty. It's a bit difficult to watch the GPS and drive (co-pilot is a big help) down the streets of a busy city. However, everyone seems to "make way" and it does give a great view of the attractions. We rented the car for only 1 hour and that was fine. I'm not sure I would... More

If you are confident driving in Spanish traffic, you will thoroughly enjoy this tour. Recommend the green tour, it shows you the city, sagrada familia, Las rambles, the mountains, Olympic village and the beach. A great relief to get off your feet and still see loads of the city. It just takes a while to get used to the rules... More

We rented two GoCar. First of all, they gave off so many noxious fumes that we felt like we were being choked all the time. Then, they were under powered which can make them a little dangerous. Finally, the audio was so poor that it was not worth it. Stay away.

First, it's just fun to drive around in this thing! Second, it really is a terrific way to see the city. You can get up close to some amazing architecture, landmarks, etc, and you really see each neighborhood first hand since it's convertible. We deviated from the GPS tour since we had already seen some landmarks and it updated itself... More

Conceptually this is a great idea and should be done on your first day in Barcelona because if you do it later you would have probably seen all the sites loaded on the GPS. The idea is wonderful but this is basically a quad runner masked as a car so expect some driving issues like brakes, having to go down... More

As a Couple this was the best place to ever see the city in one hour. We were able to see Sagrada Famila. and so many other attractions in such a short time, we did the Go Car tour on our first day and it was the best thing to do. it helped us see so many Things, Cons. the... More

The voice on the GPS and the picture would tell us opposite instructions. Ended up just going in circles. The GPS was slow and would miss turns. The street signs weren't clear. The car can only go max 50km/hr so the other motorist would constantly honk at you. Avoid

The concept is great. The tour sounds fun and when things are going threat it is a lot of fun. However the problem comes in that you are 100% reliable on this gps machine that is placed above the sterring wheel at an angle that is very hard to see while driving. We hit a major road black when the... More

I would recommend this to anyone going to Barcelona. A great way to see the city. The service was good and the gps is easy to use, if you do take a wrong turn in soon kicks back into your chosen route. We booked online whilst we were in Barcelona and got a good deal. I thinks it was around... More

Firstly, the staff at GoCar has a lovely staff. The problem is with the equipment. So unless you plan on getting on top of one of the staff members and having them crawl you through the city - don't take GoCar. We thought that by booking a full day tour that we'd definitely see the sites, but the way things... More

Staying in Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica

Neighbourhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
