This is an absolute must.

Very very nice... I absolutely loved the Pipa Club. If jazz is your favourite music genre, dont miss the PIPA club.

If you even moderately enjoy jazz or swing music then get along to this. Talented musicians, lovely warm atmosphere and goblet sized Gin & Tonics. Feeling inspired to start swing dancing and join the group at the back of club next time!

Absolutely incredible scene, such a good vibe. Great drinks, good people. Such a good night! We visited here as a group of four twenty year olds and we had a great night, very social and a very diverse clientele.

Centrally located bar with a cool decoration, reminding what it used to be as a pipe club. Drinks are not extremely expensive and it is usually a quite place in Plaça Reial as not everybody knows it.

This place is hard to find as it is tucked away in an apartment building, but if you can get to it you will not be disappointed. Walking in to an older, large apartment, you will probably immediately start to hear live jazz music. There is a small room for the stage and another room with the old-fashioned 1920's American-esque... More

It is nearly impossible to find, but if you have found it is worth the search. Nice life music in a great oldfashioned bar.

This is a nice place that still holds somehow its clandestine feeling - and trust me, in Barcelona - and even more on one of its most touristy places - this is special. On sunday evenings - and other moments as well, check the schedule - there is love jazz, which gives it an even more exceptionally nice atmosphere. Aurely... More

Its a bar basically in someone's apartment. Thats what it feels like. It feels wrong (as you walk up dimly lit apartment stairs), it feels illegal (as you open the door), it feels unwelcoming (when a man stops you before entering the main room saying "for dancers - like real tango dancers, only"), and yet, you feel so lucky to... Great bar to meet with friends. Calm and relaxed atmosphere with amazing decor and fantastic drinks and service. Jazz was good but you can also sit in the other bar where you can chat away amongst the Sherlock memorabilia. Must visit. Buzzer in corner of the square on a nondescript doorway. Lots of fun.

I went to the Pipa Club several times while staying in Barcelona on study exchange. It is a bit hidden away; you have to find the right button by the right door in the right corner of Placa Reial, but it isn't too difficult. Once you're in you have to go up a couple of staircases and then you're there.... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
