I have done this sort of thing in other cities as my photography concentrates on local life. This one did not disappoint! I met Victoria at an easily found location (good communication ahead of time). She asked my interests and away we went. We visited many local neighbourhoods allowing fascinating photography. All the while, she filled me in with all sorts of history and information.
In a city as big as Barcelona I can’t recommend this enough for anyone into photography. I never would have seen all the interesting areas I saw if I hadn’t done this. I did not need instruction but she was more than willing g

For my first trip to Barcelona, I decided I wanted to do a photography tour and my research led me to the Barcelona Photography Tour website. I booked the 3.5-hour tour and met with Victoria, and it was a great decision. Not only does Victoria know the city, but she guided me through camera settings and angles, told me about the art and history of the architecture, and answered all my questions. It seems Barcelona has it all when it comes to its architecture - gothic, modern, and Roman ruins to name a few - which I wouldn't have been able to appreciate as well without learning about the history behind it. I highly recommend booking a tour with Victoria, you will end up with amazing photos and seeing hidden spots you probably wouldn't think to research and find on your own.

We had a great 3.5 hour session with Victoria walking through the streets of Barcelona. We had been in Spain for a while doing tourist things so it was refreshing just to look at things with a photographers eye, quiet streets, lively plazas and juxtapositions of old and new. Very enjoyable and Victoria was friendly

Victoria was an awesome guide and teacher during my recent trip to Barcelona. My girlfriend booked a 3.5 hour private tour through Barcelona Photography Tours, and Victoria took me to all the best spots to catch interesting architecture and great light. She helped me with some of my settings, and challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone and change how I looked at the pictures I was taking - which resulted in some awesome shots. I am so glad we connected with Victoria, and highly recommend booking with her if you get an opportunity!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on our Barcelona photography tour. Likewise, Victoria had a great time spent in your company! Barcelona is an excellent choice for architectural photography as there are endless photo opportunities. Many visitors associate Gaudi and Modernism to the city, but there is so much more than just remnants of the Art Nouveau movement, as you experienced. I took a 6 hour afternoon/evening tour and a 3 hour photo-editing class with Victoria. First the tour , Victoria took me through several inner quarters of Barcelona which a great overview of the city (eg Raval, Gothic , ) as she explained the history , pointing out specific elements in architecture , along with photography tips and direction . I would recommend doing this early in one's tour to give a chance to go back and see it on your own. I was tired later in the evening and struggled a bit with my technical camera operations as it has been 4 years since I have been photographing. Victoria was very patient and we did the best. I especially enjoyed her excellent photo-editing class for Capture One , it was so systematic and understandable .Her tips and other information was very useful

We were in Barcelona at the end of September and the beginning of October. Our group of four friends booked two walking tours-the first day was a morning walk and the second day was an evening walk.
We were led by the very professional and engaging Diego Patitucci both times. Diego knows the city extensively and took us to familiar sights as well as his favorite places that he knew would appeal to avid photographers like us. The Gothic quarter was especially rewarding and we returned to it during our night walk as well.
Diego provided technical tips and advice and background information on the places we went. When it got a little warm he found the perfect places to get refreshed and a bite to eat. He went at our pace and we never felt rushed. We stayed at spots we liked as long as we wanted.
We’ve been on many photography tours and walks and we know what to look for and what we want in a guide. Diego checked all the boxes. When we return, Diego will be our go-to guide. Highly recommended.

With Victoria as my guide, I’ve seen beautiful spots of Barcelona. We talked about the history, the art and the architecture of the city and took really nice photos. She also suggested good restaurants and places to visit.

Laurie is an excellent photo guide. He took us to the iconic locations as well as out of the way small towns. He was also flexible in changing plans due to rain. Highly recommended.

1 truly enjoyed the street photography solo tour with Laurie. He was the perfect photography instructor and companion walking though the streets of the Ciutat Vella. Chill and focused and sharing his way of seeing- while giving me space to see it through my own vision. It was fun!
would recommend it to others, both beginners and seasoned photographers.
will also check out his travel workshops for a future trip- tempted especially by his workshops in Morocco (a country I know) and India (which I would love to explore through photography).

My trip with Laurie was excellent! It was 14 days in Morocco and I found Laurie to be a great teacher and an amazing photographer. He was very knowledgeable of the cities and towns we visited and he was so good at finding perfect light for us, as well as interesting subjects. As well as his photography expertise, he was great at finding great restaurants! And his help with composition and exposure was so helpful!

Hi! I'm gonna be in Barcelona on Jun18-19. I'm an amateur in photography, but i'd love to have a small photo tour over the city. This is my first time in the city and it would be really great not to get into big crowds of tourists and to have a morning or evening tour - within the golden hour. We will arrive in Barcelona on Friday 29 April 2016 at the end of a re-positioning cruise. I would like to take a six hour private photo tour with Nico (based on what I've read in your reviews) on either Sat or Sun 30 April or 1 May 2016. I am an Architect and when I was in college I didn't have much use for Gaudi UNTIL I had the opportunity to experience La Sagrada Familia the last time I was in Barcelona and was "blown away" by the experience. Since that time I vowed that I would return and spend a day photographing the interior of the facility. To that end I would like to spend as much time doing just that (at lease four hours). Would that be possible and what would be the cost for such an opportunity? I anxiously await your reply. Thanks! HET

Yes, we would be delighted to accommodate you. April is our busiest month, so booking ahead is recommended. Nicolas is currently available, as is Lorenzo - our architectural photographer. Both are talented photographers and exceptional guides.
The Sagrada Familia is one of the most amazing architectural structures in the world, and is definately worth exploring, though I think 3 hours would be sufficient for this one building. We can organize "skip the queue tickets" on request. It is recommended to visit in the afternoon to shoot the outside at the Passion Facade. The warm light hits it at the right angle. I would also recommend the optional ride up the lift to shoot down and capture the amazing details of the towers. Finally, towards the end of the tour (sunlight permitting), the sun entering through the stained glass is exceptional.
3 hours at this building would also allow time to visit the nearby Hospital de San Pau (built by Dominich I Muntaner), one of the most beautiful Modernist buildings in Spain. Barcelona has 9 World Heritage Sites (the most in Europe). As I am sure you are aware, 1 or 2 days is not enough to capture the city, however I would recommend shooting 3 sites in a 6 hour tour.
The price of our 6 hour itineraries is 300.00 Euros for a private tour. The cost does not include entrance fees for our guests or the guide. Itineraries can be customized to your shooting style, preferred subjects and skill level.

I would like to have more information about the course. My mom and sister are in Barcelona until 22/03 and I would like to give my sister a present and I believe that the photography tour is a good one.
How long does it takes? Do they need to walk too much? Because my mom has a bad knee and cannot walk long distances.
