My boyfriend and I enjoyed Marta's Private Paella lesson on March 29th 2017. It was one of the highlights of our trip in Barcelona. Marta is not a professional restaurant chef but an awesome home cooking specialist and that what she wants to be. She loves cooking and I really felt that. Also the paella itself was amazing! Marta's class was such a fun addition to our honeymoon! What a cool experience to go to a real Barcelona apartment, see the incredible views from the balcony, and cook Paella with a group! It was such a lovely time and her paella was incredible. She gave a history of the ingredients, her house was adorable, and she was super... More

Thirteen travelers, seven from our group, gathered in Marta's apartment, high above the Plaça Tetuan. For us it was the end of our first full day in Barcelona and the first views we had of the city from up above. In the distance, we could see the Sagrada Familia--still to come in our trip. But we had already been to... More

Marta's Paella Cooking Class was amazing! I took a trip to Barcelona with 3 girlfriends in February, and it was life changing. We ventured to all of the recommended local restaurants (by locals, yelp, etc), were enthusiastic FC Barcelona fans, and saw/drank our way through the Cava vineyards. All in all, Marta's Paella Class MADE OUR TRIP. It was the... More

Marta was fun and interesting, and held a wonderful class teaching our group to make a paella. It was a fun and authentic experience, and the paella was delicious. I can't wait to try it at home! This was my single favorite thing that I did while in Barcelona

Found this class on trip advisor and wanted to taste real paella when I was in Barcelona. I booked this class for my boyfriend and myself and we were not disappointed. Like the other reviewa say you go to her apartment, she has a gorgeous balcony where she makes the paella. She takes her time teaching you and uses the... More

A lengthy and very complementary article in the Boston Globe last year, prompted me to make a reservation for Marta's Paella Cooking Class. It was very cool to go to a private home for the class - I was just disappointed it was not warm enough to eat on the outside balcony. We did cook on the balcony. Marta's instruction... More

I joined Marta's cooking class two weeks ago and had a wonderful time! I was nervous because I am a terrible cook, but she made the class a lot of fun and I met really interesting people too. I loved being able to go to her apartment and spend time learning about local life and history from her. I would... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
