We were a group of 10 girls on a bachelorette and we were looking for a taste of some authentic spanish music and dancing and we chanced upon this bar in the Gothic Quarter. Personally It was the best find of our trip and from now on i will always equate Barcelona with Marula's! Would definitely recommend this to anyone... More

You know when you’re in a new city looking for some dance action but not wanting techno or house or (heaven forbid) rock? OMG Marula café was perfect. In our group we had metal heads, rockers, electro swingers, cheesy pospsters and few ‘on the fencers’ – how on earth do you please everyone?? Surprisingly this place ticked all the boxes,... More

A friend suggested us to go to Marula on a jazz session live and when we entered the bar we were amazed by the vibe and the atmosphere of the place! It exceeded our expectations. The musicians were great and they were changing every five minutes of improvising. People were dancing and having great time. I will definitely go again... More

We had a great Tuesday evening at the A-Wamba-Buluba night at this cool club in the gothic quarter. We went to see the fantastic Deke Dickerson playing with a super Spanish back up band! The place was packed and the energy in the crowd was electric. Deke was a brilliant front man and put on a varied and entertaining show... More

Great decor, nice bar and drinks, not too crowded, fantastic live music, good post-performance dance sound track, nice mix of people- cool without being in-your-face cool. Definitely would recommend it!

Heard from a person on the street down La Rambla that this has good RnB music. Once we finally found this spot (asked a couple of bouncers at other nightclubs) it was great to be able to dance to some good music. Good atmosphere and cool bar staff. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Barcelona.

Found out about this place from a grad student we met while having brunch at Milk. The Jam Session is free after 11:30 p.m. (23:30) on Wednesdays and Sundays. I later found out people just show up and jam. It was great. Very talented musicians.

It is not a trendy place where you go for wathcing people dancing and moving, it has his own soul and mood , looks like jumping back in the 80' in the swinging London , good live music, excellent unknown dj set, above all its a good feeling and Giuseppe and Marta will be your private bartender for your long... Such a great surprise! Saw a sign advertising funk/soul/R&B live music and HAD to go in. At first had a flashback to a scary Cuban bar I want to forget, but this place is fantastic! The bartender was friendly and joking, the beer was cold, and band was tight! Every member was super talented. Definitely pop in for a late... More
