Still little to see as majority of the building is covered with scaffolding. You can see some ceramics from one side of the villa. It says 'coming soon' :)

The building is covered in scaffolding so nothing to see. Don't bother visiting until the Spring 2017.

If it is a Gaudi building it has to be good and worth your time to see it. My favorite feature was the very colorful facade with its ceramic decorations.

The house is very easy to find - just 350 m from the metro station Fontana. We've dropped by on our way to Park Guel. It was a pity that it is still under repair and not only closed for visits, it was covered by protection net(((

Gaudi was incredable artist and we enjoyed all his works! The Vicens wasn't an exception! Barcelona would be much less impressive without Gaudi!

Everytime I am in Barcelona, I pass by to enjoy the beauty of this house. And also have some hope to visit one day. They mentioned that in second half of September 2016 it will be open for public, but guess won't have that luck this year too. Anyway, for every architecture lover fan, a visit is a must! Always... Closed for renovations, nothing to see from the outside, all wrapped up! Looks unlikely to be open for quite some time, they say 2016 but i doubt that.

The last time I was in Barcelona this was a private house. From my reading of the sign it has now been purchased so that it will be open to the public. I was unable to determine a completion date. There are two problems: o The front is covered so no photographs are possible. o This was the house I... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
