This is a beautiful house with some interesting and unusual design features. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The ticket we purchased included a caramel roll at the end, and it was very flavorful… We went in early afternoon on a week day and the place was practically empty, so it does not look like a lot of people know about it. My reason for 4 stars and not 5 is pricing. This is still expensive at €21 per person. The price of admission would have been fair at €12-€14 specially with other places like Guell Palace which is far more beautiful and has more to offer for €12. The Catalan Music Palace costs €16 and has a lot more to offer than here also. Of all the Gaudi properties we visited (worth seeing) and liked, this one is the most humble (simple) and last on our list. If you are pressed for time, it is ok to skip it…

We really enjoyed this tour of Gaudi’s first commission. The audio tour is very good, there is a short video in English, Catalan, and Spanish, and there were no crowds as this is tucked away off the usual tourist trail in Graciá neighborhood. Lovely little garden and interesting rooftop.

A beautiful piece of art, much of which is lost with the passing of the house from one owner to the next. We booked the English-guided tour, and this was the best part. Without a story to support this piece of art, this first house of Gaudi cannot be fully enjoyed. Unique structures, beautiful artworks, extraordinary ideas. A must-visit in Barcelona.
