Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Placa d'Espanya is a grand square with a large traffic circle surrounded by artistic structures built for the 1929 exhibition. It has an impressive large fountain in the middle, but no water running now for three years due to the prolonged drought. The area is difficult to fully enjoy because of the heavy traffic and few areas for pedestrians.

Bustling area with central roundabout with great architecture in the middle and surrounding areas. Each road of the area leads to beautiful buildings

Visited here on the way to the museum. It is a very high traffic area, but boasts so much to see it is worth putting up with the high levels of traffic. A number of iconic buildings and the spectacular view as you walk towards the museum. Unfortunately none of the fountains were operational due to the ongoing drought, but still spectacular to see. Easy access from public transportation.

A great big traffic circle with the old bull fighting arena (now a shopping center) on one side, and Montjuic with the splendid Catalan museum on the other side. Lots of fountains around, lots of traffic, lots of people, and an important Metro station.

The architecture is beautiful but it’s in one of the busiest areas of the city. There is constant traffic so it is hard to see it for all its glory.

Beautiful architecture, with many shops and restaurants around. Further to this, many of the bus stations are around along with the metro station.

Beautiful sight to see coming out of the metro station

It's a big traffic circle with a huge statue in the center. Very hard to get around on foot. One arrives at a big Metro station and exits by the old arena, which is now a shopping center. To get over to the other side and the museum off in the distance, it take a lot of effort and time. Noise and pollution.

Barcelona has a lot of beautiful spots but this area has a lot in close quarters. I advise people arrive at the museum and wander down towards the Plaça espanya because the photo opportunities are endless

Place d'Espagnya is surrounded by iconic buildings like the two Venetian towers, the old Arenas bullring, and the Fira de Barcelona. In the middle of the square there is a monumental fountain called the Font dels Tres Mars which symbolizes the three seas surrounding the Iberian peninsula.
A must to see!
